That's what a science writer is supposed to be.
We had that, various popular science journals, Nature articles, decent newspapers would be able to do that, but it's not profitable unless they are paid to shill for a corporation.
If you get wrong information from it, you're just using it wrong and an idiot luddite! You should just learn to use it better, instead of using your time to learn better information analysis skills! 
a while back chapo (and I think Matt specifically) was making the point that art is being smoothed over.
