This looks like over stimulation in sandwich form, also I must try it now.

Take a big bite and you get maybe 4.

My personal favorite that I discovered recently: aioli - sriracha

Of course, I use this in the context of a sandwich, with something in between the slices, e.g tomato, cheese, pickles. It works great as grilled cheese too!

Yeah i used to make a big batch of sriracha aioli every once in a while, its so good.

Crunchy and creamy are textures, not flavors

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Not flavors alone, but crunchy has whole pieces of nut, changing the ratio of nut to other ingredients and adjusting the flavor.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

changing the ratio of nut to other ingredients

No it doesn't. For one, there are hardly any other ingredients. The are only four ingredients in peanut butter: ground peanuts, sugar, and less than 2% salt, hydrogenated oils. Something like 90% of peanut butter is just peanuts.

The peanut pieces replace some of ground peanuts only. Not the sugar or salt. The ratios remain the same.

Like an alignment chart, but more delicious.

Marshmallow + crunchy PB is obviously Chaotic Evil.

Where's the marmite? Or vegemite, either is acceptable in this situation

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

We're not trying to fuck the sandwich up with shitpaste.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Marmite and butter on a nice piece of toast 🤤🤤🤤

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Omg, yes!

I just had that for breakfast

[–] [email protected] 24 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Neither is acceptable, you who tiptoes in the pale moonlight with the fucking devil

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I have to agree, tbh

One or the other is mandatory :)

Totally justified

Needs bananas

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm over here with a pistachio butter and apple jelly sandwich. Shit's fire.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I understand those are food words but I'm incapable of picturing those things in combination as a food item

Pistachio butter is a PITA to find. I had been looking for it every time I was in the aisle with all the nut butters since I first saw the movie Gamer and the kid who controls Gerard Butler mentioned wanting it. I finally found some and it's everything I hoped it would be.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

I found a jar of pistachio butter for $5 at a farmers market when I was out of town on vacation. I was saving it for when I got home, but TSA confiscated. I've yet to try any.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

Needs a marmite strip.

Maybe chilli jam too

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

I wouldn't probably like that, although I like jam on a toast. I find chocolate and or peanutbutter kinda eww on bread.

Anyways I'd say the columns need fixing, you must have the crunchy in the middle, so it's more sandwiching. I get putting Nutella in the middle, but I'd argue consistency over flavour in that sandwich. So not pb nutella pb, but smooth crunchy smooth.

But again, too many flavours. It's like when you mix all the sodas into one sugary drink. Fun as a kid, but not as good or refreshing.

This is very 'Murican. I'd feel sick after just a few nibbles of that.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

pbj became popular during WWII due to rationing. after the war it continued on and is pretty unique to the United States. it's become somewhat popular in other countries but is a daily meal for many Americans to this day.

making fun of it would be like making fun of the Japanese for eating rice, or the Scotts for eating haggis, or the Ukrainians eating borscht.

mocking people for food of their culture isn't cool or funny. it may not be what you would eat, but I bet you eat some stuff that's pretty fucking disgusting to me too.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I enjoy a PBJ, it's a great combination. Have to say spreadable marshmallow isnt something I've come across before tho.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Tbh, I am not a fan of the marshmallow fluff. But I've had a pb&mf sandwich before, and it isn't as absurd a combination as it seems.

It's called a fluffernutter sandwich.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

I like to make what I call a true "PB N J" Peanut Butter, Nutella, Jelly.

Its probably not an original idea, but damn if it isn't amazing lol

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Awesome name for a sandwich!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I remember it was child (about 45 years ago). Haven't seen it since then.
