The answer is obvious. It is white genocide

Yes, I've had students use this. I tell them: 1) this is no help for you in the exam, 2) we're gonna do this next lesson and you'll have no idea how to do it without your iPad, and 3) you need to show your working out. At just in mathematics, it's pretty easy to spot an AI cheat.
twitter users have apparently never seen scantron cards before...
The test began a minute ago.
Mike shouts out "I have an issue!"
The teacher can't help but audibly sigh. Then she says "Do not yell. Come to my desk and talk to me. Do not yell at me."
"I need to be excused from the test!"
"Please come to my desk. Do not yell."
"But I need to be excused from the test!"
She gives up. "Why?"
"The net is down."
Aloud? Jfc
PERSONALLY I THINK TEACHERS AND PROFESSORS SHOULD BE ALOUD TO SUBJECT ANYONE FOUND TO BE USING THIS TO HOURS LONG STRUGGLE SESSIONS
This is so grim. I barely passed high school math, and in the nearly decade since then I've only done the basic arithmetic required for everyday life. Still capable of adding up two numbers and then subtracting them from 180. I know I sound like an old person saying this, but the youth are so fucking cooked.
I'm good at math, just bad at arithmetic. So I use a calculator. Cooking as a pro takes a shitload of math and some of it csn be weird as hell. Converting unit measurements from imperial to metric, knowing what weight of what thing equals what amount by volume a bunch of weird shit for food costing. I can easily create the formulae to get the intel but I need a machine to do the calculations. I had a great teacher for my last year of math and my grades went from 60s to 90s cause he explained how some of the shit we had to learn was used practically, often it was how scientists figured at thing out but that's good enough for me, just tell me what the math does and I'm interested. Plus it was shit like plotting sine functions that you needed a calculator anyway
saaame. i was held back a math level because i made "simple mistakes" but understood what I was doing and wrote huge complex games with Vbasic as a teen.
now my brain is basically limited to finance mathematics though ugh
I've kept as beat as interested in science stuff and got better at some math in that regard. I work with a guy with a geology degree and we have access to a 650 degree pizza oven and we totally do science in there on slow days. Usually just seeing how fast something burns. We did get dome measuring tape put one day and tried to measure the fireball from throwing a handful of flour in but it melted the tape. One time I dumped a bucket of ice in there and then went outside to see the billow of steam out of the exhaust
that sounds so fun
It's a tough gig so you have fun while you can. We also fixed a dinged up pizza paddle like old timey blacksmiths by heating the end up in the oven, basing it with a hammer and then shaving it down with the whetstone. My idea to squirt all the cleaning chemicals into the oven at once has so far been thwarted but one day...
just don't forget to wear your PPE or have good air circulation as you vaporize random volatile chemicals
One time I dumped a bucket of ice in there and then went outside to see the billow of steam out of the exhaust
This is how the new Papa(l) John was elected
Cleaned the stone real nice as an unintended side effect
We did get dome measuring tape put one day and tried to measure the fireball from throwing a handful of flour in but it melted the tape
This is science, true and primal
I am a firm believer in experimenting an collecting data for no specific hypothesis. I live entirely in the Fuck Around and Find Out neighborhood of Sciencetown
The US is so fucked
the US is so fucked
Not only the US.

I don't understand your question. Could you ask it in a different way?

"Teachers shouldn't teach you what to think, they should teach you how to ~~think~~ become dependent on a proprietary piece of software that is going to destroy itself with it's own faulty output and disgusting inefficiencies!"
I don't understand; what is the person holding? Just do 180 - (the sum of the other two angles)
Edit: nm, clicked through to xcancel and it had a larger image with a text overlay. If you need fucking ai to solve this problem, you're stupid.
I feel like at least half of all adults couldn't do this. You'd be surprised, it's hard to retain the 180 angle rule if you don't use it regularly.

Thanks, I didn't think those existed. What a waste of effort to make a device like that.
Presumably, if the student had many questions like this, didn't know the process, and just used AI to recall the method, it could be fine. Or if the student just wanted to check their finished work. AI can be helpful with the right motivations.
My feeling is that AI like this is just going to heighten contradictions in a capitalist, competitive society. In a way, students are workers who do a lot of mind numbing prep work only for a fucking exam so maybe they won't be poor when they're older. If poverty was abolished and education wasn't a deciding factor in one's future ability to eat, we could just let students use these without stress. There would be no need to cheat. If one doesn't love maths, there's plenty of other valuable things to be good at.
