Are we trying to make excuses to preemptively invade Russia now? Why not defend Ukraine more fervently, with foreign troops as aid?

or is this some way of just encouraging a forever war in Ukraine?

(Yeah, the news article is suggesting a forever war within Ukraine, and even then russian armament wouldn't ever reach the same level as Europe, the fear mongering is at critical levels)

They can't even beat Ukraine; what makes this article writer think that they can take on NATO?

America joining the war against NATO

NATO is one of the biggest drivers of the military industrial complex in the USA, it being present is the closest thing to a “captive customer”

The Moneyed interests I think would actually prevent that, I hope … only so we don’t end up even more the baddies.

Invalid argument, nukes would fly, human world would collapse thus countries and people in power lose their power. will not happen

They could strike NATO right now if they really wanted to, but regardless when they do it, there will be consequences that they won't be prepared for.

Ah “could be”, the acceptable way to spread made up opinions.

Yeah, it would be insane if Putin invaded a sovereign state on his border for bullshit reasons, causing hundreds-of-thousands of deaths and committing innumerable war crimes in the process.

Luckily, he has never done that, and certainly not multiple times.

A NATO country is a different thing, which was part of the discussion in the beginning of this.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago

Considering that Putin's puppet has put great effort into putting into question the basic obligations of NATO, it may not be as different as we want it to be.

That's going to work great against an enemy with air superiority.
