Both me and my sister stayed there recently, and I guess he assumes we lost it. But I barely cooked when I was down there and my sister and her husband say they didn't have pasta while they were there.

This was a cheap ass pasta strainer mind you. He even admitted he didn't like it that much and got a new one at the dollar store for under $5 bucks. Mind you I'm pretty sure this man is technically a millionaire at this point (hence why he has a nice place near the beach I like to go to).

Jesus this man needs a hobby.

Edit: HE FOUND THE STRAINER!!!

I'm a dad of teenagers.

It. Drives. Me. Insane. How often things just "disappear."

I don't mind them using tools, or paints, or eating whatever they wanna eat frankly, but not putting stuff back where it was or putting an empty box back in the fridge or cabinet, holy shit.

It makes me feel insane, like "I know that I have a pizza peel, where the hell is it?" Tearing the kitchen apart....

That said, if it were a pasta strainer in my second house and my kids were adults staying with their spouse(s)? I mean... C'mon. I know I raised them to be considerate, so if it's missing at that point, it's on me.

I showed this to my sibling and they said our dad had accused them of taking a pizza pan and called them multiple times over it a couple months ago, he eventually found the pizza pan behind some other pans.

He could have just drain it with the lid pressed half on. Good thing he found it eventually - could have starved.

Now you know why. It takes special kind of people to become/stay millionaires

meanwhile i would spend 2 minutes more with a fork and a pot to remove water, so that i can avoid washing 1 additional thingy, lazy mindset would have prevented this

Yeah I regularly just use the spatula and carefully strain the water because cleaning the colander sucks, especially when noodles get stuck in the holes and you gotta rub them off.

the advanced move i discovered is to use cheese grater (but i rarely make them with cheese, so missing on all that potential laziness), cause it helps a lot to pre-clean it catgirl-happy

This is something my dad would do, have a vivid memory from high school of some misplaced toenail clippers that he was freaking out over.

Sounds like me, I lose things all the time. I imagine if I had kids I'd be ranting about losing the item

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

[–] [email protected] 20 points 3 weeks ago

Exactly where the dumbass left it last time he used it.
