I would take a phone that had flush cameras with the thicker body and a battery life in the multiple days range over the thinnest lightest phone ever made that still has big ol camera bumps because of the physical limitations of photography.

I do not care about the weight of my phone within reason. Not so I care about size much anymore. I have an S23+ with a case on it that adds a decent amount of thickness not only for protection but because I have big hands and the phone without a case feels like it's going to slide out of my hands very easily.

First off, I would not buy it because it's a Samsung and I can't unlock it and install Lineage OS on it. And second of all, that 3,900 mAh battery is just no.

Look, I know I like to complain but it's on preorder for $1,099 (256GB) meanwhile the S25 Plus is $999, and since it's already out for some months you can probably get it for lower.

And on top for that, GSMArena says it has one less core??? (2x Oryon V2 Phoenix L + 5x Oryon V2 Phoenix M vs. 2x Phoenix L + 6x Phoenix M)

So you're telling me I can pay LESS for more battery and more CPU by going with the Plus? Will 1.5mm thinner make up the difference? Don't think so.

3900mAh ?!? what?!? sure you cannot do a day without charging it, pretty lame. And it's so thin you'll bend it.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Why would 3900mAh be not enough? The normal s25 can do 9:52 hours of web browsing with its 4000 mAh battery. I‘m pretty sure that the 3% difference is not a dealbreaker.

(But of course, others offer 5000+mAh, Samsung is definitely on the lower end here).

This is what I was thinking, when more and more phone offer 5000+, samsung offer 20% less...

Finally, a new phone that JerryRigEverything is probably going to be able to snap in half with ease.

Still no headphone jack but they sure got support for AI

Nothing better than having to permanently have Power Saving turned on to get the phone to last most of the day!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

It begs only one question: can it slice prosciutto thin enough? Dealbreaker feature for me

FINALLY

I've been looking forward to having a phone that's more fragile and has a smaller battery, now I've found my guy. Thanks, Samsung.

~~Still not as thin as my 12 year old Sony Xperia~~

Sorry, it is 0.7mm thinner

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

Think how many Yugioh cards you can carry in your pocket with additional 0.7mm!

No Magnets, smaller battery. Tf are they doing

Anticipating the iPhone Air, I suppose? I’m really let down by Samsung crippling their phones due to following Apples lead in frankly stupid and consumer unfreindly designs… I use an iPhone and am very critical of much Apple does, but other manufacturers don’t look much better (even those that did years ago)
