Everything I've eaten today has tasted increasingly weird. I think Covid might have finally got me?

Can anyone tell me how to open this damn toilet to put one of the blue blocks in? Neither myself nor the wife can. The lid raises like a cm or 2 but feels like it’s being held down somehow.

good idea but it only rotates a tiny amount and wont turn any more. Even with the buttons pressed down.

If it's plastic, try squeezing the sides (ends towards each other) together firmly as you pull directly up

yesterday I noticed my little right toe has no voluntary movement but still has feeling. I tore the tendon many years ago and it's been iffy since but this kinda made me a little sad. I've had that toe for a long time and it's like a part of me.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

The little toes are nothing but a pain. Having said that I still wouldn't like to lose them but fuck they need to stay away from furniture legs.

years ago my husband bought a little iron table and put it next to the sofa. I think I broke my other little toe at least twice before I moved that table far away from me.

G (pictured with the teeth out) has been doing better since he's gotten dog chemo. Although he's not cured, he has his energy back and is eating again :)

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago

Naaaaaaw! Glad he's feeling better :)

I casually mentioned to the man that I was cleaning the sound system and behind it and he said not to use the vacuum on the speakers. Oh no of course not i replied. 😳

Oh O. How does he think I've been cleaning them all these years

I also googled it because I thought he was being pedantic and he is right.

He gives them a dust maybe once a fortnight. I think that's all he thinks it needs. I regularly suck the dog hairs off that sub woofer with the vac. I will change my ways.

sticky lint roller? Duster?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago

I just used the sticky lint roller. JRT hairs are like pine needles.

Up there with funko pops.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

Yep. Up there with Hello Kitty anything imo. Though I did quite like the Hello Kitty sporran I saw on sale in an op shop once. Edit - it is entirely to take neoteny entirely too far.

Hahahaha, this fully made my check myself with my love of Mofusand. I’ll take comfort in that I’m not lining up at 4am or paying someone $100 to line up for me just to buy it.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago

YES. Omg I don't understand this hype, they're not even So Ugly It's Cute. And it's across all ages as well.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Fantastic. Great move. Well done Sussssssan.

she's going to be the new soft face of the fascists, the face that shows they believe in DEI and are nothing like Trumpists. All lies of course.

then around election time they will drop her

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago

Definitely a glass cliff situation if there was one. The votes were fairly close and the party is facing a lot of instability...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

lol. Just reading up on that name change:

"she shifted her expression energy to a nine because the soul vibration is the same".

I got in some morning exercise walking to Eastland and back to pick up my new glasses. I am now officially an Old Woman with both multifocals and reading glasses.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Oh welcome to a new world of constantly having the wrong glasses on!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago

It is at least very obvious if I have the reading glasses on and look up at anything else. It might help keep me focused on my reading, I certainly can't focus on anything else. I'll probably only wear the reading glasses when I am sitting on the lounge reading, the multi-focals are good for everything else.
