I get itchy when I'm making scones or got my hands in meat or falafel.
I made no progress on anything today and I won't think about it (a fully grown woman who still can't do her homework), but my shameful confession is that I've finished watching Animal Kingdom and dear lord that last season was painfully bad. Really, most of the last two. I had hoped it would get better without Ellen Barkin because I hated her acting but they dropped so many storylines, the characters made no sense, the heists and plot went from TNT sloppy to just bad...
I genuinely have more important things to be doing than half-assedly watching mediocre tv, but I have a stupid compulsion to finish what I start... that's entirely on me.
Now. No more tv for me until I finish this thesis. Really, it should be no phones either, I spent a stupid amount of time reading up about UK immigration changes which have nothing to do with me...
Snack to cheer me up
Air fried crispy chips.
Right. Sounds like just about all of us are feeling down in the dumps for one reason or another. I promised justkitten some special motivation brew, which has been accomplished. And I have ingredients left over. So tonight there will be a special brew made to cheer us all up. Should kick in overnight what with it being a full moon and all. It's halal, kosher, paleo, vegan, dairy free, nut free, sweetener free and gluten free so everyone can enjoy. Plenty for everyone so don't be shy.
Thank you, O Witch. I regret to mention that the motivation brew worked sideways - I ended up cleaning my house, which is admittedly a well-known side effect. I am definitely feeling dumpy after frittering away most of the day so I would like a portion of the mood brew please. I promise to get to work tomorrow! I have to see the doctor in the morning anyway, so it'll get me out of the house...
Special brew for mood improvement = πΈ
πΈ and some to put in the fridge for later.
Minimum order is 500, so I say everyone gets a cauldron?
Of course! You just never know when you're going to need one. And a spare for emergencies.
Fabulous, Miss Meow is very excited to be able to sit in her very own cauldron.
A cauldron is one of the better cat traps.
Thank you ππ» that is just perfect β₯οΈ
This is lovely. Thank you so much. π
Thankyou ππ»
Is it normal to feel tired during the day and like you can't think or properly get words out?
I've noticed I've been really slow over the past bit, fatigued, tired and spacey. My cognitive tempo is sluggish. I don't know what's wrong with my brain. Ironically, I think it's the caffeine. I don't really remember too much of life before I started consuming caffeine, but I don't think I was this bad. I'm sick of having no energy to do things, and experiencing heart palpitations and nausea.
Until there's decaf matcha, I'm going to have to give it up.
Could be your iron or magnesium levels are low.
Can also be thyroid or test (if you're a male).
I quit coffee about six months ago and steer clear of caffeine these days. I reckon I feel better for it.
I dunno if I've mentioned it but I like that you carried your random generated username over.
Cheers, my thyroid has always been fine, but you never know. I just don't have the balls to go get it checked :D

There's also the basics: water, quality food, sleep, exercise.
(lack of) Vitamin D / Iron do this to me. And just general overwhelm/stress - I find myself not finding words, forgetting names, etc. Then I will crash out for a day or two and reset. I have never gone without caffiene so can't comment - I'll give up everything else but my morning espresso.
I also sometimes get on the ginko tablets after a virus etc - I find it helps a little with brainfog, for me,
Thanks for sharing :)
brain fog has been so bad , on and off the past year, it made me worry about dementia. ( No one in my fam for so many generations has ever had dementia. )
but it's from covid π
maybe i need some vitamins again
Interesting, I have had covid three times, and I wonder if it's a long covid thing. I almost want to be someone who researches the pathophysiology behind things like this, because I am too curious about how things like viruses and hormones interact with our brains and other organs at the cellular level.
Have some vitamins hehe :) when was the last time you got bloods done?
Finally finished off the last of this batch of stir fry.
Stuffed it up with cooking the noodles too long or something and they weee too soft and gluggy.
Hopefully next batch will go better. If not then itβs the brand of hokkien noodles I picked up.
Yaaaawn.
Brain dead tonight. Not sure why.
Might just zonk in bed and read whilst cuddling the cat.
Goodnight all β€οΈ
Love an early night.
What chu reading?
I go between reading stuff from the Scp wiki or some William Gibson stuff. I'm re reading neuromancer like I do every year lol
Nice. I'm reading Starship Troopers. I'm sure I've read Neuromancer but I always get it confused with Snow Crash.
can i join in?
I haven't been too good with reading the past few years, just haven't had the mental stamina, so to start reading again is a joyous thing for me.
so these past two weeks I have been reading an art book by Pro Hart, an art theory book by Anthony Blunt!, a book on paint technology, and studying to retake my driving license, ( which I let lapse ) .
Duuuude. Fucking love snow crash! Might read that next.
Todd is home, after two days away at the mechanics. New spark plugs and a new timing belt, and he made friends with another Caddy in the parking lot.
They were running a bit late so I took a cab instead of walking down, which was very quick - I barely had time to get my shoes on before he arrived!
I stood in front of my car and wondered what its name could be.
None of the options that came to mind were respectful...
Bloody knackered, just got home. Can't stop yawning!
Miss Meow really likes Mr Woof's new carrier. The sheepskin rug is apparently very comfortable.
