It's not a matter of far right/left anymore, it's just autocracy vs democracy (for what it matter).

When Russia and China are togheter, and USA are getting closer to them, then they're really really close to dictate the new world order.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

But autocracy is right and democracy is left.

The left wants more democracy (in the workplace, for tennants, for women etc).

The right wants more authoritarianism.

100% of the time people are trying to tell me right and left don't matter, they are right-wing shit heads.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

In a democracy it matter, but in a dictatorship it's pretty useless.

The choice of being a slave in China or Russia it's a matter of nothing, they're friend for a reason.

You mean russia and murican puppets? Then looks like China trying to stay neutral for both sides, for economic reasons (at least rus; these reasons don't apply to murica anymore).

Righties for most over the world align with putin and autocracy, while left align with european point of view. It is totally left vs right visions of world.

I don't talk about the people, I talk about who's in charge.

Russia is fascist, China communist but they are working along without problem. Iran is a teocracy, but still works fine with thenther two as well. Now India and Us are getting there too.

Anne Appelbaum depict the situation in Autocracy, Inc.: The Dictators Who Want to Run the World.

An example. What Dugin designed for the Russian future is actually a crossover between communism and nazism, thought Russians celebrate the victory over the nazis. One day they are red, the other brown. They made a soup of bullshits so they have something to say to the people.

Trump wanting to change the name of Veteran's Day to Victory Day makes more sense to me now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

Then trump decides to change his name to Victor. 6D cheddar.

Omg, he slammed them? They must care.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Usually when I see slamming on the internet I have to use incognito mode.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 hours ago

I guess it is all about who came.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

I really got allergic to sensationalist headlines like this. "X goes nuclear and destroys Y". I'm refusing to click on stuff like that...

I don't think they'll ever recover, slammed sounds harsh!!

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago (2 children)

We're back to slamming now? Dragging didn't last long.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago

Perhaps he should try sticking his tongue out at them

Sam Stein drops The People’s Elbow on Laura Loomer!

[–] [email protected] 21 points 3 days ago (2 children)

i swear I feel like the percentage of people getting slammed has really gone up since covid

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

“slams” “blasts” “rips”

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Can't they just say 'criticise'? It's so annoying all this slamming

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 days ago

Or «shook their fist menacingly at”?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

Slam is what the kids use. Criticize is what their parents do to them.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Criticise is too long for a printed newspaper title. Editors are still stuck thinking about how the headline will look in print.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago

It's a whole two letters longer than slammed. I also argue that the double m is taking more space than the two extra letters.

Lemmy loves to paint Lula as a good leader (his only saving grace is not being as shitty as Bolsonaro) but he was the only president of a democratic country that attended, absolutely disgraceful.

"Dictators are fine as long as they're not torturing me personally" :/
