Cause and effect. This is why many of us want to see alternatives to cars in our cities - because it makes life better for everyone, including drivers!
I’m curious why this got downvoted. I read the rules twice before posting to make sure I wasn’t overstepping or misstepping.
A city that had a well known car traffic problem, found an alternative solution to lane widening and the data backs it. You can take this as evidence to your city planner and convince them that grade-separated rail works and chances are, cheaper than lane-widening for your city, and can be quite transformative even in regions where car culture is dominant. It is as appropriate as a post for a “Fuck Cars” community can be, and proves the point everyone here is promoting.
