This is actually very funny and telling. Mike Pence is on the side of the maga Republican elite who thinks Trump is just a misguided megalomaniac like all of them who's just taking his turn at power and all he's looking for is a little grease in the wheels to see reason.

What Pence doesn't realize is that Trump moved on from him long ago after dropping him like a soggy sandwich for crossing him even once.

So fucking tired of talking to/about this man like he's a toddler that you need to praise before even considering even the most mild criticism. Enough with the fucking kid gloves.

This is the motherfucking President of the United States! Fuck this complicit media for sane-washing this shit like it's normal and ok to coddle the President so he doesn't literally ruin your family's life.

Grow a fucking spine. No Democrat would ever get treated like anything close to this.

This is where I am in terms of mood.

"The man who tried to have me killed deserves credit for an energetic and effective start"

He almost didn't. Remember that? And we thought those were the crazy times... Ahh...

Should have said or done something when you were in office, fucko.

To his (very, very faint) credit, he did do the right thing when it mattered: he certified the election, even when a mob had threatened his life previously.

I think, in contrast to a lot of other republicans in office today, Pence actually believes all the stupid stuff he says. The end result is mostly the same (regression, a rise in fascism, etc); but I think he somehow managed to come by it honestly.

It's not honesty, he just set his no cross line 5mm in front of treason

It is indeed to his credit, but it's awfully close to "Hitler also did good things, see the Autobahns"

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He also killed Hitler to be fair /s

Touché, bonus points

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 week ago

Does that make it better or worse that he's a rube instead of a grifter? I can't figure that out, tbh. Probably one of those two, yeah.

Lmao! Haven't heard that since The Usual Suspects!
