  • Usurpation of Appropriations Power: For dismantling congressionally established agencies and impounding federal funds.
  • Abuse of Trade Powers and International Aggression: Including imposing economically damaging tariffs and threatening military invasion against sovereign nations.
  • Violation of First Amendment Rights: Through retaliatory actions against critics, media, and attorneys exercising constitutionally protected speech.
  • Creation of an Unlawful Office: By establishing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and unlawfully empowering Elon Musk to unilaterally violate the Constitution.
  • Bribery and Corruption: Involving dismissing criminal cases, soliciting foreign emoluments, and extortionate settlements for personal and political gain.
  • Tyrannical Overreach: Seeking to consolidate unchecked power, erode civil liberties, and defy constitutional limits on presidential authority.

Yes, on all that.

But since the orange cancer has infected the s-court, senate, and house, you aren't going to get anywhere. The dumb clowns aren't going to arrest themselves.

Oh and the police.

I wish this would amount to something more than a meme, but that’s none of my business

That’s nice

Alleged violations? Welp, too little too late, it's Martial Law time. Just a reminder to armed forces who are obeying criminal orders from criminal people, made criminal by ignoring the u.s. constitution. Doing so is aiding and abetting the threat to the constitution. Allieving those who do not follow the constitution of any perceived authority.

People would rather have a job than morals. The unknown of their next job is more frightening than doing the wrong thing, the things they do for perceived stability.

That will only help the cause. I know these doomscrollers really want Daddy Trump to end democracy so they can be right, but most of the people in reality would lose their shit and actually do something if he called for Martial law. You'll say it's a different situation, but look what happened in South Korea just recently.

Al Green from Texas introduced articles of impeachment months ago.

You're right. It probably won't go anywhere, but we have to fight.

Maybe won't, but the effects of tariffs didn't hit ordinary people yet. Reports say that it will take about 3 weeks.

we have to fight

House reps should have been doing this practically day one, given all the corruption wafting off this administration. I'm glad Congressman Thanedar pulled the trigger at last. I'm sad it'll be snuffed out long before it matters to anyone, but thrilled to see someone in the Democratic Party seems serious about making noise.

That said "we" isn't you, me, and U.S. Congressman Shri Thanedar. And this isn't materially affecting the Trump Admin's ability to wield unchecked executive power. This is a token act of resistance. All we can really use it for is a litmus test from within the Dem Party, to gauge who is seriously in opposition to Trump and who is treading water until the next election cycle.

As congressional action, its paper thin. As popular action it isn't anything at all.

Its a little hard to do it on day one. Need to give a few weeks to build up the counts.
