He did remove their supreme court’s ability to try him for his crimes, his party is the majority in Israeli parliament, he’s disbanded the war cabinet, and they’re actively trying to push back the next election date. So yeah, pretty much a dictator.

Netanyahu would lose a massive amount of power if President Biden would stop sending him so much money and weapons. Even the threat of doing so would have a huge impact. So arguably, a puppet dictator is more accurate. Although the way they interact would lead one to believe Bibi is the actual puppet master.

Joking aside, this is a hard problem to solve with multinational corporations running the show. I certainly don’t think we sufficiently regulate corps in the states, quite the opposite really - they buy politicians in a legalized bribery scheme we call “campaign finance donations,” and are never held accountable for this type of predatory behavior.

This problem is 10x worse on an international scale, no idea how to solve for it. Maybe something like the TPP could have helped but not sure.

Yeah, he was literally bragging about it on the quarterly earnings calls as it was happening. They’ve only paused the price gouging now that it’s a hot topic, don’t think for a minute prices will go back down or that this won’t resume in a year or so when there’s some other distraction available.

We need regulations to stop this predatory behavior, and we desperately need to break up monopolies like Kroger, if this problem is to be mitigated.

And so, the brown shirts are making them think twice. What a sad day for America as domestic terrorism wins.

Paul Pelosi or Gretchen Whitmer likely have something to say on the matter as well.

Should have done it during Obama’s first term, when we had the votes. But it was deemed “not a priority” after we voted them into a supermajority.

So yeah, I think your skepticism of Schumer’s intent here is warranted.
