Jeff Bezos is a pussy.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 hours ago

Not sure how transparency in the "most transparent administration EVAR" is hostile or political.

Honestly, every vendor should have this kind of transparency. Why shouldn't I know how much donvict is taxing me?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 hours ago

Amazon already walked back this plan. Story should read, "Capitalist only brave enough to stand up to the poors."

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

TFW Jeff Fucking Bezos is a voice of reason in this shitstorm...

Should double down and put a goofy orange face saying "I did that" pointing at all the Trump tariffs.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 hour ago

What are you talking about lol. Jeff Bezos is doing the only thing Jeff Bezos does, stuff that's good for Jeff Bezos. This is giant leverage that tells the Trump administration "we have big tools at our disposal if you don't make us happy with whatever economic policies we do end up with". He displayed that leverage, it turned into a news story, and behind closed doors, a shift occurred, likely minor, in the ever-evolving power dynamic between the two pricks.

Don't get it twisted. These dudes and the rest like them will never help us except in the most casually incidental way.

Greed finds a way to get too big. However, it is self-destructive and therefore short-lived. Greed is so selfish, it eats itself alive till there is one last malignant tumor cell standing, and with him ends the entire disease, sometimes only to reappear a few decades later when old memories have faded and the wisdom wasn't fully taught and/or learned. Like a body fights a foreign body, humanity collectively needs to isolate, acknowledge, and curb the evil of greed. Humanity will eventually evolve to learn this important lesson and make sure this mistake isn't repeated.

Did MAGAts think the guy who made his employees piss in Gatorade bottles would just absorb the cost of these tariffs?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 hours ago

The far right keep comparing this to some kind of effort in the past like WWII and things like "victory gardens".

Thing is - they have not explained to anyone what the hoi polloi are supposed to get out of any of this mess? The idea of shifting the tax burden on the poor and middle class so that supposedly jobs will at some future point maybe possibly, without any kind of plan, will come back here....but the rich will DEFINITELY benefit if income tax is dropped.

But yeah, we are all supposed to plant "victory gardens" and raise chickens or whatever the fuck, because Faux "News" says so. So yeah, dipshits like donvict's Nazi Barbie probably really do think Amazon should eat the cost. You know, for "freedom".

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 hours ago

Isn't this what he purchased ... I mean, the campaign he donated to .... or, what he voted for?

It's so stupid. Trump yelled "Tariffs Tariffs", people on the left said that's dumb and won't work, people on the right Googled "TF is a TARRIF?" (spelled wrong). Now they are shocked because Trump implemented Tarrifs.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 6 hours ago

“Why didn’t Amazon do this when the Biden administration hiked inflation to the highest level in 40 years?” Leavitt asked.

Because Biden didn't affect Chinese inflation? You fucking rubes.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

So [does Trump want to] discourage purchasing foreign goods or not?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

Yes, very hostile to display tariffs prices. Very.

Clown world.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

Sure it’s Leopards, but how is Bezos reporting the truth of the cost a hostile act?

This is such a Cluster B personality disorder style reaction. Malignant narcissists lash out at anyone who contradicts or provides evidence against their false reality, and every malignant narcissist constructs a false reality for themselves and the people around them. Classic. Toxic. Definitely a page from the cluster B personality disorder playbook.

I’m no defender of Bezos, but the additional costs need to be publicized.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 6 hours ago

Truth and reality have a liberal bias.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 hours ago

Having several malignant narcissists in the family, it's so true about the false reality. It's a constant pack of lies and gaslighting.

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos gleefully came down off his corona of glans rocket, took to his knees, kissing the elevator shoes of fascism and donated 1 million dollars to the traitor Donald Trump.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 hours ago

Trump hates transparency. Hey Jeffrey, how's that's "donation" working for you?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 7 hours ago

Imagine being such a psychopathic piece of shit that you would unironically complain that telling people the truth about what you're doing to them is a hostile act.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Maybe if Amazon gave our Non Corrupt President just a COUPLE MORE TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in "donations" then they can get an Exemption?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 hours ago

My fear is that's the plan all along. The tariffs created such a mess that it is nearly impossible to even follow the law and pay exactly as much is required.

It's possible that the idea is the businesses will get exemptions for cooperating with the government.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 8 hours ago

Has anybody told that friggin Nazi mouthpiece that everything she and trump says is a hostile and political act? Not one thing done by this administration has been for the betterment of the American people

It's about trump being better than his daddy and getting revenge.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 8 hours ago

Huh, I guess Bezos is regretting that donation he made to Trump's inauguration fund. Well, let them fight.

[–] [email protected] 72 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

This should be in Leopards ate my face for both Trump and Bezos. Bezos paid good money through the inauguration fund (and probably other channels) and got screwed on the tariffs. Trump thought he had Bezos in the palm of his hand and didn't. LMAO.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I think Bezos long-term plan is to pressure Trump to back down on tariffs, then keep prices high anyway and keep Trump tax cuts.

The oligarchs will infight, but at the end of the day, normal people lose either way.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 hours ago

I always want to think the worst of bezos et al but:

If the plan was just to jack up prices they wouldn't make this distinction.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

This is the only reason I clicked. To laugh at both of these undeservedly rich assholes who thought the other was actually on their side

[–] [email protected] 8 points 7 hours ago

That's the fun thing about narcissistic sociopaths working together. It's only a matter of time before they will turn on each other.

[–] [email protected] 82 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (4 children)

If Amazon had any balls, they'd display the cost without tariffs, then the costs with tariffs and use your "I did that" image pointing to the tariffed price.

Hell, every retailer and business should do that.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 hour ago

Honestly someone needs to write an extension that does this.

If I have some spare time and the ability to grok tariffs I’ll give it a stab.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 hours ago

We will see if he has balls by whether or not he actually does it. Saying and doing are two entirely different things.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Except Bezos is in that "i did that" group. That was one of the only campaign promises that Trump was sure to keep, since it was the only way he would be able to afford his tax cuts for himself and his rich buddies like Bezos.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 7 hours ago

Bezos did do that. He squelched WaPo pre election.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

slammed Amazon for reportedly planning to display the cost of President Donald Trump’s tariffs next to the total price of products on its site.

Their plan exactly mr. Admiral

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I mean, yeah, I got that lol. My suggestion was to add vegeta's "I did that" image next to the tariff price (like they display the badge for Prime price).

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 hours ago

That puts bezos in difficult position. He got involved personally to censor washington post articles against trump then critisize him on Amazon?

"I did that" is something bezos says to himself everyday

Fact:

n. a hostile political act, specifically designed to make Donald John Trump look bad.
