And gravy. A sauce made from veggies and/or meats.
I'm so old I can remember when a pea mix (chips and peas together) went up from 16 pence to 22 pence. I can't remember why it went up so much though, I was very young at that time.
*chips :3 big chunky chippy chips like that cannot be called fries. Also our wages are dogshit and our cost of living is sky high that Β£4 isnt as much as it seems weirdly when a big Mac costs Β£5 by itself quite often.

Only good peas I've ever had were raw fresh off the vine. ENTIRLEY different texture and taste, juicy and crispy, vs bland and mushy. Whoever decided we need to start cooking them deserves the lack of love in their life.
You are cooking them too long.
They are edible raw, so you only need to heat them through to go with your hot meal. They should still be firm and sweet when cooked.
Literally 2 min in boiling water, 3 if from frozen.

As a Spaniard I was going to comment that it is kind of overpriced dog food.
Here in the Netherlands I spend 80 euros on 10kg of cat food (kibble).
That looks fucking disgusting.
