Also: leave tariffs on raw materials in place, making local production even less competitive than before.
This should read: Get elected to make money. Be the puppet that the oligarchs bought with that money. Sabotage the economy to benefit them only to realize you've sabotaged it too hard and they start yanking your lead to correct your stupidity.

I honestly wasn't paying much attention to it because it was largely a pointless effort in the first place.
