This reinforces my belief that will always list the most convoluted and vague measurements.

Are they vampires or honest about his view? Really not the big deal you want it to be. You can't take a slightly uncomfortable truth but prefer confident bullshit lies from whoever is trying to market to you at that moment.

get that boot out of your mouth when you type at me

[โ€“] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Because barilla doesn't want to make an LGBT starred cast for his advertising and me saying what's wrong with that and your response is " get that boot out of your mouth". What an insufferable individual you are and if people online wanna see what brought us to trump and the fucking microspheres its giant whining dumb dumbs like you who push men and even sometimes women to the right with your constant nitpicking, excessive cancel culture, culture war bullshit and bickering meaning no cohesion on the left.

You need to grow some balls and enter the real world bud and learn how to talk like a real adult using sentences like they did in the old old days

This is some impressive noodle-defending prose for a person drooling down their shirt, defiantly refusing to remove the boot from their mouth.

Textbook basement dwelling redditor. I'm wasting my time

sadly it does not work as good with ads and loading times in between

[โ€“] [email protected] 13 points 1 week ago

Shut up brands.

[โ€“] [email protected] 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

everyone's obsessing over pasta too much. take a fork and taste one, there's no universal amount of time

[โ€“] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (2 children)

True, and you are probably not putting anywhere near enough salt to the water.

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

God damn, I already take my salt can and just pour it in for a few seconds. You trying for higher blood pressure?

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And do not rinse it people. toss in oil and lay it flat to dry if need be. it'll drink up your water and be soggy

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It was just soaking in boiling water for 7-9 minutes, but 1 second of cooler water with a quick toss is going to make it soggy?

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Genuinely yes. When you take them out of the hot water, they're still hot and dry a bit due to steam escaping.

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

I promise you yes. Chefs will throw out pasta that has been rinsed, I've seen them do it.

Oil and air dry is the way to go

Much prefer La Molisana. Bronze die pasta is superior for getting starchy pasta water which is critical to achieving sauce emulsification in many pastas like spaghetti cacio e pepe, spaghetti carbonara, and bucatini allโ€™amatriciana. The rough texture of bronze die pasta also seems to help the sauce adhere better to the surface of each noodle.

"Al dente" essentially means "cook your pasta as long as you like"

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It literally means the exact opposite of that.

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

That is a famous superstition https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8wZbNmdIKw

To be fair: I didn't know either, until I had a long discussion on the topic with my colleagues wife - who is an Italian.

[โ€“] [email protected] 25 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The instructions are written on the packet and phones have a timer. This is marketing for Barilla and Spotify.

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

The ad invasion has officially begun in earnest apparently. Brands should be downvoted (or banned or quarantined or something) as a rule.

Now... what can we do about political astroturfing? Politics is super broad and people legitimately talk about it all the time (as they should).

[โ€“] [email protected] 37 points 1 week ago (3 children)

So Barilla, the homophobic pasta maker, works with Spotify, the pro-Trump streaming platform

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What makes them homophobic?

[โ€“] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

Their chairman. His position is that he "respects" gay marriage, but gay couples are not a real family. Basically the average "moderate" catholic bullshit.

[โ€“] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Thanks for this mention!

I'm returning the box I bought recently, I'll buy a different brand.

[โ€“] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Barilla is homophobic or just italian? I mean they elected homophobia as a president...

[โ€“] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago

"I've heard this song too often"

skip

That wasn't the same employee. You can enjoy parts of something and not the whole.

[โ€“] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's been 4 whole hours and lemmings haven't suggested Jellyfin or Navidrome or something yet?!

[โ€“] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago (2 children)

And that Barilla pasta (at least the stuff sold in Canada) is made in the USA.

[โ€“] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago

Barilla makes their EU pasta in Europe.

[โ€“] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago

But their pasta sold in the EU seems to be made in Parma, Italy.

[โ€“] [email protected] 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You're correct, forgot about that.

Shit is everywhere nowadays..

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Fucking fuck why does everything have to be awful :(
