Can we make golf less bad? Like, public courses, make it so that the grass isn't some perfect standard import grass. Make it local even if it's "less than ideal" for the game. Desert courses with no grass. I dunno

Well, I've never seen such a positive point about communism.
I mean sort of, proper land reform would destroy a ton of golf courses, probably even most of them but I'm sure there's plenty that, saving for the excessive water use, are otherwise ok. Besides, I think we're past having to take up half the real estate of scenic western Nebraska for a game that while I myself enjoy can probably also be enjoyed in more compact ways without major sacrifices.
Dammit, don't make me support communism now.

I meant it in the way that, you know, we're making the planet inhospitable to human life. That will destroy golf, finally! Worth it.
It will likely not make the planet inhospitable to all people, just some. In fact, a bunch of people will benefit from it, like those living in colder climates (at least for some time).
Even in colder climates it kind of sucks, remember that it also makes winters colder and weather more chaotic
Just depends on the location. In some places the climate is projected to become milder.

Is it possible that is just conservative shitposting? Even our most of our extreme lefties understand irony and have a bit of self-awareness making inside jokes similar to this. We've also seen conservatives "eat the onion" enough on joke memes. We should consider that we may be on the other end the joke on this one not thinking they're serious with this meme.

There's already plenty of urban sprawl. We need more natural areas. Seize the houses of people who own multiple and make them public housing instead.
Golf courses are not natural areas. They are biological dead zones that are sprayed with pesticides and only hold grasses which do not help pollinators.
Golf is bad.
