I wonder what the US will do with their Russian shills after this trump nonsense is over. I mean, at some point you gotta recognize traitors that are trying to destroy your country by lying to everyone, or in the case of this turd, yell over everyone with their lies

That's called chutzpah. People who take that strategy in life should be ignored.

When the American civil war starts. I wonder who will have Ben’s trophy on their wall after the conflict.

America is currently waiting and sleeping through the time when a civil war or attacking the terrorists is possible. Germany would never have escaped the clutches of the Nazis without outside help. The stupid thing about a world power, however, is that once it has reached this status, nothing helps. Technology is now so advanced that it is no longer a problem.

Counterpoint:

The nazis collapsed not because of foreign intervention but because their ideology held that they were all super special boys and everyone else on the planet was subhumans to be subjugated - same as this administration.

These guys are duck-ups and what they want to do is either pointless or harmful to themselves.

Bullshit.

The downfall of the Nazis was because they attacked Russia but were in no way prepared for the Russian winter. Where many soldiers simply froze to death (one must not forget meth or Panzerschokolade). This means that soldiers who are overtired do not realize that when they are tired, the body no longer works at 100%, making it more susceptible to cold and producing less heat). This mass death from the cold gave the USSR the opportunity not to be overrun and to push back the Nazis. Had it not been for the winter, the USSR would have fallen. America would have had an enemy over a much larger area (this was all before the Americans were able to seize all the knowledge of the Germans), the Germans were already close to completing the atomic bomb... as well as stealth airplanes etc. Believe me, if so many had not frozen to death in the East (fortunately) it would all have ended very differently.

The downfall of the Nazis was because they attacked Russia but were in no way prepared for the Russian winter.

So you're saying that they believed themselves to be special boys and that the Russians were subhumans to be easily subjugated?

Thanks for opening my eyes!

I say that it was not the reason for the downfall of the Nazis. https://nationalinterest.org/blog/reboot/how-russian-winter-froze-hitlers-nazi-empire-its-tracks-190821 Education helps. I was in no way advocating it or anything else.

Canada, when you take over, please go after our conservatives first and then at least give the rest of us a chance to prove ourselves.

He's wild for that. Never thought I'd see Ben Shapiro go that far. What a nut.

[–] [email protected] 71 points 1 month ago

Ben Shapiro, the fascist everybody. At least they aren't kidding it anymore.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 month ago (2 children)

They are loosing the rest of their marbles.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 month ago

They as loose as they can get. They’re losing them now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Loosing where?

[–] [email protected] 82 points 1 month ago (5 children)

I didn't expect that from Shapiro. I have plenty of criticisms of Shapiro but I did not expect him to threaten the former head of a foreign, Democratic Government, a long time ally. Is this real?

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The guy whose video 'the myth of the moderate muslim' resulted in the largest terrorist attack in Canadian history?

That Ben Shapiro?

Sorry but isn't this the inevitable result of the words and ideals he and other conservative flatulence mouthpieces keep off-gassing? Don't words mean things, and don't those things imply concrete action or intent? Maybe we should have been hearing the intent.

Personally, I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

[–] [email protected] 86 points 1 month ago

Reset your expectations.

Not only is this real, he also went on to say that the threat was only valid if PP didn’t win. This is public record and you can verify with a web search on multiple media outlets.

This is who Danielle Smith pals around with at taxpayer expense.

[–] [email protected] 106 points 1 month ago

At the time, that was the current head of a foreign, Democratic government!

Civil world war!!!! People with souls vs everyone else.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Ever read anything by Terry Brooks? He had a series of modern fantasy books where the world is basically ending, demons walk amongst us, that kinda thing. Anyway, servants of the void who "sold their soul" were known as Once-Men. As in they were human once, but not anymore. I always found that rather fitting...

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Sounds like The Stand. Are they any good?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago

He's one of my favorite authors; I'll always recommend reading anything by Terry Brooks!

Have you heard of the Shanarra series? There was a TV series some years back based on the books that aired on MTV. Plus just a whole bunch of books he wrote. Anyway, Shanarra is a fantasy setting in the general style of Tolkien, but with lots of cool unique twists. Anyway, in the books he hints that the world used to be a lot like ours, but then apocalyptic wars reawoke magic while science and technology of course were lost. Eventually he did write I think two trilogies that start in a near modern alternate Earth and describes the series of events that transform that start into the fantasy setting he'd established previously.

Oh, and recently he apparently blew up the world of Shanarra for good! Like, on a cosmic scale the bad guys win I guess, so game over? I dunno I haven't had a chance to read the last trilogy yet so no spoilers!

If you're new to the series, he recommends starting with Sword of Shanarra. But if you want to read in the order of chronological events, then you should start with Running with the Demon.
