During a major Oval Office address on Friday, President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth introduced a new sixth-generation fighter jet costing $20 billion. In an unbelievable move, Trump named the jet after himself — the F47 — emphasizing his place in history as President of the United States.

"The F47 will be the most advanced, capable, and lethal aircraft ever built. We're confident that it overpowers the capabilities of any nation," he said before adding: "47 is a lovely number, isn't it."

Will it have a combat avoidance feature? In keeping with the man it's named after.

Is the plane so fat it can't find its dick to take a piss? If so, I see the resemblance.

F-15 - Eagle

F-16 - Fighting Falcon

F-35 - Lightening II

F-47 - Krasnov

These names are just getting worse with each new jet

[–] [email protected] 27 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

F-16 is semi-officially known as the Viper these days.

F-35’s name is borrowed from the original (P-38) Lightning, arguably the best twin-engine long-range interceptor/patrol fighter made in the WW2 era.

Who fucking knows what they’ll try to call the new one irl, but I bet it’s something obnoxious and stupid

Wasn't the f35 the FatAmy? (Don't flame me; please! I'm just repeating what a service buddy told me. She's the dick, if anyone; not me!)

Regardless of whatever the official moniker is, I’m greatly looking forward to whatever unofficial name the pilots and enlisted come up with.

This fucker is wildly attempting any/all paths to find a way to leave an indelible historical mark of himself...

Guess "Lyingist Liar First Felon Mafia Level Attempt at a President and Killer of US Democracy" isn't working for him...

He's already got an indelible place in history all right. And nothing he manages to accomplish from now till his death will be sufficient to erase that lasting legacy.

He's the Captain Sparrow of Presidents, can't spell infamous without famous.

[–] [email protected] 156 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (2 children)

Apparently it’s going to be made by Boeing? It will go down in history for sure.

[–] [email protected] 83 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Hey, he just said most lethal aircraft. He did not specify friend or foe.

The details of the plane remain secret, with only a portion of the prototype shown in a photo displayed to reporters.

Come on War Thunder, do you magic and expose the F-47 Orange.
