Yeah, i know that it's the same D.Trump that wanted to ban Tiktok in 2020.
Now, he also apparently played a major role in ending the israeli genocide(, « Which would mean that everyone who said a Trump win will make things worse for Gaza was objectively wrong, and that Biden-Harris were undeniably the greater evil. »).
Thoughts ?
There's some speculation that Meta now controls TikTok. But yes, definitely everyone saying Trump will be worse for Gaza was not an ally to the Palestinians, to put it lightly. The Democrats are in some ways to the right of the guys literally throwing up a Seig Heil, and I am so tired of arguing with libs that just look at aesthetics about it.
I'm sure they're hard at work scrubbing all the Pro-Palestine content. No way things continue as they were.
My theory is that Trump is just shrewd enough to understand when to take a strategic retreat:

The truth is Israel pulled out every stop possible and went full holocaust-mode on Palestine, they burned every bridge and severely harmed the soft power of the US and left that of Israel’s in ashes. These past couple of days looks like Israeli propaganda has been going crazy with tonnes of posts on social media with their usual stuff, showing off gay night clubs in Tel-Aviv and pressuring attractive Ashkenazi Israeli girls in full makeup to do stuff in military uniform and despite heavy censorship on these platforms, almost every post is people shitting on them.
Israel used every ounce of strength and still couldn’t make Hamas any less effective than day zero of the hot war.
Trump wanted them to win but the fact is that they failed, there’s no other way about it. He just had the decency to tell them it’s time to fucking throw in the towel, lick your wounds and figure out a different way to do this.
I have seen people posting that their comments of "free Palestine" and similar such things are being deleted with messages saying it's against tiktok policy. Lots of people don't trust it and are staying on Red Note because it's just so much nicer anyway.
I have no hopes this "ceasefire" will ever be honored. Its a bunch of optics to get people to shut up and go about there loves and forget about it so they can quietly ramp up the killing again.
Let’s not get too carried away. Israel isn’t ending the genocide, they are pausing the most explicitly violent killings to go back to more subtle forms of killing until they decide to launch more military ops on civilians again. With Miriam Adelson being in Trumps ear as well as largely responsible for his campaign funding I cannot imagine he does anything that isn’t explicitly intended to further Israeli goals. The new ambassador to Israel is a guy who thinks ‘the Jews’ need to control Israel for the Christian apocalypse to begin. I can’t see how that will be an improvement for the Palestinians.
Israel and Hezbollah are about to go at it again in around 6 days. This war isn’t over just because there’s an armistice on one front. Israel still hasn’t evacuated southern Lebanon, and Hezbollah will need to expel them.
I've seen stuff in passing on twitter that people are having stuff censored in searching TikTok that wasn't before - but then some others were saying in response that they weren't. Something glitchy or shady, I don't know, but I'm keeping an eye out for more clarity cause pretending to fix the issue only to produce a TikTok that is more in line with imperialist propaganda could very well be what is happening. Then again, it's also possible that shutting that many people out of an app like that can introduce some temporary glitches when you try to bring them back.
They have to suck up to him because not only does he love it, but TikTok also has a shaky 4 years ahead of them under him.
Something is telling me that he is only doing that to get more young voters. (Edit: I could be wrong though.)

I'm like 80% sure he's gonna challenge the 2 term limit. He'll spend the first 2 years doing popular stuff like ending the war in Ukraine and stopping the genocide, fixing health insurance, raising wages, and bringing down cost of living to completely undermine the dems by the mid terms. Then once he sweeps the dems out hes gonna do the facsit coup and then things will get really scary.

He isn't ending it. It's a pause. Israel will probably resume at some point. Maybe a month, maybe a year.
The resistance didn't back down from any of the demands made in the December 2023 ceasefire deal. isisrael is the one who folded. isisrael is the one who needed the ceasefire.
I honestly think the economic costs, emigration, attrition, and international pressure that they are already under will keep them from restarting again especially after having a while to let their blood cool.

No doubt the us will try to fix the economy, I just doubt their ability rebuild it to "restart the war" levels in a year. Half a million people abandoned the zionist project in the first year. That's 5% of the population. isisrael was smart enough to hide the numbers for 2024. Many of those who left are highly trained workers who can easily get work in other countries, many of them academics and university professors. They are suffering a major case of brain drain. There is also a issues with investment, pension funds have little confidence in the future of isisrael and have been moving their investments out of the country.
isisrael depends on immigration to prop up its economic growth but nobody is going to move to israel after October 7th. They cant say that it is the "only safe place for Jews" because the truth is it is the most dangerous place for Jewish people. isisrael has proven it cannot beat Hamas and that leaves the door open for another Al Aqsa Flood. Throwing money at the situation isn't going to fix it.
Well, i'd like to say that jews(, and religious people,) aren't supposed to lie, but most of the israelis are only "cultural"(?) jews anyway...
It's the first time that our timeline is full with palestinians celebrating the end, i hope that they won't have been celebrating too early and that the Golan Heights will be enough for Israel.
