Oof. Copyright that shit before Disney steals your idea.
Edit: I stole that joke, but apparently it was "someone" not "Disney" and now I feel like my life is a lie.
hmmm, i don't think idea prompts can be copyrighted. buuut
if you wrote a script based on that, then put a copy of it in an envelope, sent it to yourself (so that it has an official date stamp on it), and then left it sealed (so nobody can say it was tampered with). then sent another copy of that to Disney (which they'd probably ignore). and then Disney somehow made a movie that's similar to what you wrote, then you have grounds to sue them. Just do not, under any circumstances, let anyone but the judge open that envelope, the whole plan hangs on it being the perfect proof
at least that's how my media law professor told us to protect our scripts. no judge will accept "but i came up with the idea first" as "proof"
You could do all that and Disney would probably still win, because Disney.
On the other hand, we would all win, because I would totally watch that movie! 🐀🐁👩🍳
yeah lol, grounds to sue doesn't equal winning. copyright law doesn't exactly favour the small guys
