Some people change their socks every single day, to me that's a little to much. I'm more of a 2-3days kinda guy. Is changing socks each day absolutely necessary?

Edit: Obviously something is wrong with me, I'll take some time to rethink my life decisions and buy more socks! ๐Ÿ˜… Edit2: I mostly wear wool socks, I hope that justifies this a bit..

Feet sweat. A lot. Like a pint (450g) of sweat a day or more if particularly active or you have larger feet.

So for me, daily at the least. On particularly active days, multiple times.

I mean, you could have easily searched "how much do feet sweat per day" and verified this yourself.

But ok, here's one of hundreds of the results from podiatry clinics that say roughly the same thing.

https://patient.info/skin-conditions/excessive-sweating-hyperhidrosis/sweaty-feet#:~:text=In%20a%20pair%20of%20feet,other%20part%20of%20the%20body.

Ah yes, the renowned scientific publication patient.info

We need peer review meta analysis published in a with 50 years of study and published in a paywalled journal in order to verify that we should change our socks.

Or literally any paper whatsoever.

Fuck man, I didn't think I would need to pull up scholarly sources about foot sweat.

here

When running, you sweat around 250 grams of sweat per square meter per hour. Variables change +/- 50g ish depending on what you are or are not wearing on the foot, what the ambient temperature is, and what you're doing.

You can work out the maths of your own foot sweat.

Obviously, less physical activity will result in less sweat.

Yeah, that's kinda the point. Also, nobody was talking about feet under stress.

Cool source, bro, not sure how I'm supposed to do math on literally none data:

Yes, an article written by a podiatrist, peer reviewed by a podiatrist, and completely cites their credentials, sources, and reference materials.

Just because you don't think it's credible, doesn't make it not credible.

The podiatrist neglected to mention how they determined the volume of water lost from feet.

Edit: Ah yes, the renowned scientific publication silent downvote

That's ... a lot. Are feet really supposed to leak that much human juice?

Are feet really supposed to leak that much human juice?

That's the good stuff people like Quentin Tarantino die for! ๐Ÿคค

I associate his movies with a different kind of human juice
