I've unironically come around to think that people worshipping the sun were not wrong

The sun's pretty awesome

It may as well be our God. Sun dies out ? No chance of life.

I've dabbled enough in paganism to confirm that worshiping nature and the sun is a hell of a lot more meaningful than making up shit about God and wearing special hats. Sure, we know what nature and the sun is, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular, or any less of a genuine creator before our very eyes.

Why not worship nature and wear special hats? Most of the witches I know do both.

I've said this for a few years as well. At least the sun is real. It provides life, it doesn't even kill very many people, definitely doesn't condemn anyone to an eternity of suffering.

The suffering of gingers in the sun is finite.

It doesn't feel finite, I'll tell you that much.

I've begun worshipping the sun for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike some other gods I could mention, I can see the sun. It's there for me every day. And the things it brings me are quite apparent all the time: heat, light, food, and a lovely day. There's no mystery, no one asks for money, I don't have to dress up, and there's no boring pageantry. And interestingly enough, I have found that the prayers I offer to the sun and the prayers I formerly offered to 'God' are all answered at about the same 50% rate.

He was a treasure that we're sorely lacking now. RIP.

When Dawn Breaks would beg to differ.

I don't know what that is. Is it a movie or video game?
