This would wean people away from single family, detached houses.

4 bedrooms? Yeah, I can see that.

4 toilets? 4 bathtubs‽ Wtf???

That is a terrible use of the space.

Yeah, that's a massively inefficient layout, likely because what this actually is aimed at is 4 student roomates.

You don't really need a seperate full bathroom for every single family member.

Private full bath for the parents, roughly one full bath for every two kids, and a half bath, or something like that.

Alternatively: Just make more student style housing, but for non students.

A whole floor shares a common, double kitchen, maybe two wash/dry units, then has basically a largeish studio with a sleeping nook, and a private full bath for each person.

Because it’s landlords’ wet dream for a college town. You can rent it out individually for $1300 a month each. I’m not joking.

Because this is for college students, not families.

It's fully possible to share bathrooms with roommates, just as possible as sharing kitchens.

The alternative would be to just make a small kitchen and split these off as single units instead, this is just poor utilization of the space.

That doesn't explain the 4 toilets and bathtubs.

It’s suite-style housing for upper level students. Nobody wants to share bathrooms with others they barely know, especially if they are having partners stay over.

Most off-campus housing around my University is exactly like this.

Then make 4 individual apartments. Sharing a kitchen and living room while having individual bathroom is just silly and huge waste of space.

It’s not a waste of space, it’s a saving of space as you don’t need to build 4 living rooms and kitchens (which are expensive).

Most students wont use them anyways because they are on the dining plan.

It is a waste of space because you don't need 4 bathrooms in a shared flat with 4 people.

As someone who has living in one of these and a 4 person apartment with one bathroom, the private baths are 100% worth it.

Circling it in red doesn't make it make any more sense.

What kind of weird goldilocks upper-midclass is this where you have to live in a shared flat but need to have your own private bathroom? No, that's just silly.

Ask your girlfriend which place she would rather stay over at.

And only a 3 seater sofa

It's just accommodating the state of our capitalist dystopia 2 decades from now, where 4 couples are needed to afford a single unit.
