Something I occasionally think about- /r/conspiracy was always full of nazis, but it truly bloomed into its current incarnation of terrifying nonsense once twitter and 4chan screenshots became accepted sources. I hate seeing twitter screenshots on lemmy.

I wasn't convinced entirely, but the proliferation of double letters in the username instilled in me a sense of blind confidence and loyalty that I'm not sure any news outlets actually reporting from there could easily match
