It's not just regrets. The dude spends all day painting pictures of Iraqi children. He's fucking haunted by his past.

Is this and this what you're referring to? He painted a bunch of Americans.

(BTW I'll refrain from stating my opinion that those look like paint-by-numbers produced from people's photos.)
