Thanks for sharing the story, that sounds interesting. Glad you found it!

Time Chasers for me (and like OP, it's partly because it was my first ever episode)

Lots of others though, not an easy choice!

Which view is that? I can see spaces with some views and vote counts with others.

Small Cards - no vote count Cards - no vote count Slides - vote count is there

Normally I use Smaller Cards, so I don't see a vote count anytime until I open a post.

It's not like Christmas or New Years which are reliably 12/25 and 1/1.

You say that, but then there's Venezuela.

European club football was more enjoyable (that's not to say technically better, just more enjoyable) when we had the European Cup, the UEFA Cup and the he Cup Winners' Cup, all as pure knockout competitions.

When a headline or thread starts with "Why..." you can often reply to it simply by repeating the question without the first word and emphasising the new first word, eg:

Is Lemmy not a place for thoughts and observations, rather than just links, questions, and memes?

I'm not sure that's true as a starting point. So not point trying to answer "why" it might be the case.

Oh yeah, I agree with all that!

Yeah, there was that brief period, maybe 4-6 years where each release had at least something exciting. I guess they've just run out of genuinely useful/innovative stuff to add.

Partly it's aesthetic - it takes up so much room!

Partly it's preferential - I'm not keen on machine generated answers being prioritised over actual sources.

Mainly though it's because when I do a search, I usually know what website I expect/want to get to, and just want that available to click immediately.

What a game!! Absolute insanity and some unbelievable goals.

Really enjoying Radio Lemmy, have had it on almost constantly :-)

After using the site a few times, I noted a few things that might be worth looking at - not meant as criticism, just some ideas.

Suggestions:

  • Freeze pagination tools of auto DJ library - would make it easier to navigate on mobile when scrolling down the song list. At the moment, when you scroll, you can't see the controls

  • Make the song request message popups (green for accept/red for reject) always appear onscreen as overlays instead of at a fixed point on the page - at present they're not visible when user is scrolled down, especially on mobile

  • Is there a way to filter the library by genre/artist? I can't seem to find it, apologies if I'm being dense.

  • It would be cool to be able to sort the library by date added - so we could see what new songs have been uploaded

Bugs:

  • When sending a song suggestion it refreshes the page, stopping the music stream. Any way to prevent that?
  • I noticed that some songs have duplicate info - eg Pulp - Disco 2000, Stromae - Alors On Danse, and possibly more

I love football sometimes. Get it up you Bayern :-)

No match thread, so made this for discussion

I really don't like the file picker now - when sharing images or anything else, it shows inconsistent and incomplete lists of folders, and although I can then choose to go to Browse and pick that way, I'd rather just have that by default. Anyone know if it's possible?

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.
