One day, yes. I budget accordingly and am lucky enough to be paid relatively well. But at the same time, I prioritize quality of life now because there's no guarantee I'll make it to retirement. Id rather retire later if it means better qol now.

Oh my God, AI and a subscription model. Kill me now.

That's amazing. Especially loved the guitar bridge. Every license should have one.

Man that's rough, I feel for you. I'm also on a waiting list for support for my kid. Some days are better than others but it can be really tough. Sorry to hear you're going through that.

I like how the recommended remediation to this malicious extension is to install an extension for monitoring extensions.

Serious question though: is "can connect to network" a permission on Chrome apps? What about Mozilla? It seems like this, more than anything, is what needs to be locked down for all apps (beyond just browser extensions). Like on my MacBook for example, I have to give apps explicit permission to access folders like Documents. But I'm pretty sure they can all access the Internet without restriction, right? That seems crazy to me.

My dog stands next to a chair or the couch and rests her head on it while looking up at me with puppy dog eyes until I come pet her. She loves it when I scratch her throat and will lean onto it super hard to the point where she gags. If there's anything at all laying on the floor - a blanket, a sock, kid's toy, paper bag, whatever - she will lay directly on it. If she's to big she'll at least put her head on it. If I'm not paying attention to her she'll sit right next to me and paw at my leg until I pet her. She follows me around the house like a shadow, especially if anybody is over or if she can tell I'm getting ready to go somewhere. I can't play hide and seek with my kids because she always gives away my hiding spot.

I use Hugo and I've been pretty happy with it. It has a lot of layout templates you can use out of the box so you don't need to learn a new templating language unless you want to do customizations. I write blogs in markdown and it's automatically rendered and published.

It looks promising but keeps crashing when I try to open an article 🙁

A bunch of software development blogs that I've collected (~40). I'd love to share a list but I can't find an easy way to export them from Feedly :(

Related: what are the best rss readers out there? I've been mostly happy with Feedly but I'd really like something that is:

  • FOSS
  • No login/account, all data local
  • Android app
  • Follow RSS feeds, sort into categories
  • Save for later
  • Save favourites
  • Tag categories
  • Import/export subscriptions
  • Read full text locally in the app (don't need to open the website)
  • Supports text to speech

Dumb question, I've been using Nova launcher since forever but I think there was some drama recently about it being acquired. Is that the major difference between it and lawn chair?

Eyeing my geometry set suspiciously

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I figured there would probably be an easy way to do this but I haven't been able to figure it out. Suppose I have a bang-syntax community such as "[email protected]" copied to my clipboard. How do I open this community within Sync? Everything I've found so far just searches for this as text.
