As the title says.
To keep my story brief my mother died in a workplace related incident (or so I am told) and my rent was being paid by my mom so I ended up homeless. I don’t blame anyone but myself though, I should have had a backup plan or got a part time job to save up for this exact scenario.
And the rest of my extended family won’t take me in because they know I’m atheist. Even recanting my lack of faith didn’t work so I kinda screwed myself there.
I’ve been looking for jobs ever since. I had actually managed to attain one but I got fired because I couldn’t find a suitable place to work (you can read my post history for more info but the shelter i was staying at couldn’t allow me to use their internet).
I’m asking for $50 CAD to cover food expenses for the month. There’s a place to prepare food from the shelter and I can supplement with whatever I find dumpster diving.
I have an interview this week so wish me luck
I am also open to non monetary forms of assistance. I just want food.
