Thank you for the heads up. I have seen slow downs since yesterday. Some images come up pretty quick but others take a while. I guess the quick ones are already cached on kbin's server?

Oh, and I have been waxing these cheeses as well at Uniekaas near Alkmaar. The most mind numbing job I ever had. Kilometers of cheese, a cart and brush…take the cheese out of the storage, turn it on the other side, wax that cheese and put it back.

I used to live in Alkmaar 30 years ago. Went to school there too before, when I lived in Bergen (North Holland). Too much tourists there.

I remember having to fiddle around with xinput and to me it wasn't a good experience. Finally getting to play them...in my library for a decade.

So I love this (at first unauthorised) remix of her acapella track on Solitude Standing. I had her first album on my Sony Walkman cycling to school every morning. She has a lovely voice and she is a great guitar player.

She liked the remix herself: “A&M asked me what I thought of it and I told them it was really kind of nice. So I said, 'Go ahead and release it.' I wasn't expecting it to be successful—I never thought it would be that popular. It just seemed very charming."

Moksi Alesi with djar pesi or blaka ai pesi and salted fish "bakkeljauw" or salted beef "zoutvlees" with Madame Jeanette pepper. Basically beans and rice. I learned the basic recipe from a friend with Suriname ancestry.
