Can you say why Iranians dislike Arabs or why they support USA/Israel, and why Khamenei supports Palestine and not USA/Israel? I'm trying to understand why this difference exists. I really am not educated at all on this part of the world (that's my ignorance, but I am curious about your experiences).

Is it really as simple as racism or are there socioeconomic concerns? For example, many people in my country (Canada) hate immigrants because it's difficult to find a good-paying job or an affordable apartment due to suppressed wages, lack of domestic manufacturing, and a very bad housing crisis. It's easier to just blame immigrants for coming here than to convince the government to help us more directly.

Can you speak more to that? Why is there such a difference in perspective between average Iranians and Khamenei?

Most Americans don't realize the scale at which their empire works tirelessly to oppress or subsume all other nations. Telling them about CIA interference in the '70s and '80s blows their fucking minds, let alone what's going on today across the world. It goes against the narrative that they're tough but fair stewards of the planet and not schoolyard bullies with nukes who have transformed the global economic landscape to benefit themselves, so it doesn't make sense to them.

Monster Cables sued Monster Energy, and then Monster Energy sued the publisher of Immortals: Fenyx Rising before it changed its name from Gods & Monsters. Basically, Monster Energy decided to do what was done to them, probably just for the money and to see if they could get away with it.

Guys, we need more money or we won't be able to do the job that we never do!

How does what you wrote prove it isn't fun when you're horny?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago

Yeah, we'd have to. I just don't really care enough to get one just for this because I prefer to play board games IRL. I literally would only use this to try out games with my wife to decide whether to buy them, but they want cash up front for that.

I want to use this, but I don't want to play without my wife and you need to pay to play with someone who has the same IP address as you. No way I'm paying them just to try it out. I get why they do it, but it's complete and utter BS from my perspective since I want to play these games to try them out before buying.

They probably mean stimulant medications for ADHD, like Adderall.

I think that this is shortsighted. Imagine a scenario in which a person might use a Nazi salute in public: it is unlikely that it would be used by a single person just out doing their normal routine. Consider the recent context of Elon Musk, who was at a very large political gathering and was expecting people to respond in kind with their own salutes.

Do you want more visible Nazis? They show up when you summon them. They don't go away when you outlaw their symbols, but they do find it less appealing to promote themselves online or have rallies to recruit more would-be Nazis. I understand your hesitance to let the state do these things, it's a large part of the reason why I don't believe in capital punishment. But if the state doesn't have the power to stop this peacefully, the next step (no matter what "side" is doing it) is violence.

The comparison to saying slurs is just not equivalent whatsoever.

Sorry, are you really saying that a Nazi salute is a simple gesture and not overt hate speech against racialized groups? That a Nazi rally in a public place is totally cool and a reasonable expression of political ideology in a democratic society?

That is not a centrist position, it's a pro-Nazi position. Nazis are not acceptable in public. If a Nazi wants to salute up and down the street, they should be prepared for people to take it as it is (an act of hate speech). In some countries that's not a crime, but it sure is in my country and, soon, Australia too.

Even that's not really unique in the retail investment space, just look at Robinhood's marketing from before /r/SuperStonk happened and they pissed people off by limiting trades on GME. A lot of it is like, "even you can hoard wealth like your favourite billionaire"!
