I am an alpha user who didn't realise I had to migrate my account until a couple of days after the cut off (I don't really follow what's going on in Minecraft these days) and am still peeved about it even though I haven't played in years! Sorry I can't help, but I can share in your frustrations!

For some people there are plenty of "reasons" not to - it doesn't mean that those reasons are good, valid or even make any sense in a lot of cases.
What items AREN'T better than they used to be?
There is absolutely an abundance of cheap crap options out there but almost everything has a much better equivalent available today.
Isn't this just an expected correlation? Most people who take an ambulance to the E.R. will be seen quicker because most people who are in an ambulance have an emergency so they have a a reason to be seen quicker.

It's a toss up between "Me fail English? That’s unpossible" and "It tastes like burning"!
Yeah, I am sure it is! What is even more annoying is that I didn't even receive an email from Microsoft that it was happening (not sure if that was just me). I am sure it is illegal (or at least a breach) but I can't imagine how many likely costly hoops you would have to jump through to get them to honour the agreement.
