If I look at the HA log, the thermostat seems to disconnect and reconnect itself every few minutes. Does yours do that? After looking closer at it, I think this is an issue with the Rheem thermostat not staying connected to the home WiFi network.

Also, have you considered wiring in to the thermostat directly to avoid having to use a Rheem account?

Is anyone else having issues with the Rheem Econet integration? It worked so well for so long but now it spends most of its time disconnected from Econet. It appears to reconnect every few minutes for a bit but it seems like every time I open the home assistant app, my thermostat is not functioning. The actual thermostat in my house is functioning normally and connected to the network.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Someone on Reddit theorized that he saw the term Delta and associated it with Delta Faucets the company, and that is where the faucet idea of his comes from.

Does it have any segment options - to isolate a specific trail/section to show your best times on that section?

I've found lots of great open source workout tracking apps, but I'm looking for a program that can show me my times on popular segments like certain bike trails, just as Strava does. Are there any free (and hopefully open source) alternatives?

I have a Steam Deck that is connected to my TV 90% of the time. I'd like to replace this with a PC that has maybe slightly higher specs than the Steam Deck. Are there any pre-built solutions that are really affordable?

Is it based on ActivityPub? I don't really know much about it other than Jack Dorsey is involved.

Yes I did read the article. I'm not saying that she shouldn't have replaced her vehicle, in fact she probably did make the smartest choice by going for a second hand EV. I'm just frustrated by the people that assume an electric vehicle is somehow "good" for the environment when it is not.

She refers to her car in the following ways:

  • "a car that [does] not emit pollution"
  • "Zero emission gave me peace of mind that I made the right choice for a world facing climate change"
  • "earth-friendly"

Also this statement shows she is concerned about the environment:

"suddenly remembered my intention for buying an EV in the first place. I should have spoken up. Greenhouse gas emissions, carbon dioxide, climate crisis ... These words jumbled in my head. Nobody had even mentioned this life-or-death issue we all are facing."

But EVs are not some sort of silver bullet for the climate crisis. Do we yet have any studies confirming that they are better for the environment over ICE vehicles when considering lithium mining, vehicle production, battery replacement, tire pollution etc?

I hope that the EV revolution is a net positive solution over ICE vehicles, but they are not some sort of magical product that is going to save the planet.

I find this ignorance really frustrating that people believe purchasing an electric car is somehow environmentally neutral. People should be educated on the environmental toll of EV production, lithium mining, tire pollution etc.

I trimmed the trunk because it was growing quite tall and spindly. Is there any way to continue growing the main trunk or will it only grow branches now?

I'll be interested to see an open source version of this!
