It's both. But speciation takes time even with punctuated equilibria... Actually finding the time when the egg yielded a chicken instead of a proto-chicken is not so likely to be fruitful. There were also other species that reproduced using eggs that existed before the chicken did... so we can say for sure that the egg came first as long as we allow for eggs from other species, although it doesn't really seem in the spirit of things.

This prophecy is one reason why Christian fundamentalists want to concentrate all the Jewish people in Israel - because in an Apocalypse, it would kill all of them, fulfilling the prophecy. Going off the text of the prophecy also reveals that Trump is the Anti-Christ. This is one reason why I don't trust Christian Zionists, because the prophecy they are trying to fulfil is basically Final Solution 2.0 and is deeply anti-semitic.

This is seen daily in the US as people who are not sufficiently useful to the regime are cast out, unhoused, sickened, and socially murdered.
