And even in the case where there is actual separation, and competition, it will only be temporary!

For the entire planet, prior to the last few hundred years. Religion agreed, because pedos are attracted to power and religious leaders were the most powerful.

Recycling is only a scam for plastic. Paper and glass are fully recyclable but are energy intensive.

Aluminum and most metals are cheaper and less energy intensive to recycle than to mine and refine from scratch.

All of Islams problems can be explained entirely by demographics, modern history, and wealth distribution — which directly impacts quality of education.

Iran was a relatively liberal democracy before western plutocracies chose to arm radicals and overthrow the government.

Afghanistan was relatively stable until the soviets invaded and overthrew the government, and the west taught them how to do terrorism/insurgency.

But sure, let's just ignore history and act like Christianity wasn't a radical terrorist org prior to science and universal education.

You'd think they'd get the memo after several decades of "corporations get most of what they want, without objection" while "the people can't even get basic healthcare or a minimum wage comparable to poorer countries", yet here we are... Fascism is knocking down the door, financed by the wealthiest capitalism can muster, and they still have their heads firmly planted in the dirt, blaming the left for not voting, without evidence ... when the millions of people who didn't vote may very well be just as oblivious as Trump voters, don't know how the government works, don't know the danger they're in, and don't pay enough attention to care 99% of the time.

Mental illness is the problem, of which all religions are at the top of the list.

This unprecedented relationship between the world’s richest man and the leader of the free world raises concerns about the influence of wealth on government.

The only change is that Liberals are apparently becoming aware of the power dynamic that has always existed — that democracy cannot exist with massive wealthy inequality and money equal to speech. I'm also positive that if Trump/MAGA fails to implement fascism (this time around), Liberals will believe the current system works, and completely ignore the reality that their system was almost destroyed by a small number of wealthy sociopaths.

And this little piggy built his home with straw...

"That'll stop the fascist dictatorship" said the pig.

The pig was killed and eaten. The end.

Nobody:

Capitalism: "tune into the only freedom fighters on Earth standing up to the corporate elites — mr fascist billionaire and mr fascist meathead millionaire — only via your EvilCorp ShillBox subscription"

They never were. Letting the fox run the hen house will always fail. Once you realize all of the UN and analogous environmental orgs/events (IPCC, COP, etc) are politically/corporate managed, and do not align with the scientific consensus, you realize they only exist to greenwash and legitimize for-profit interests, and inaction.

It's quite telling that the Israeli protesters who stormed domestic IDF bases in defense of an officer accused of using rape as torture (aka war crimes) were not even arrested or charged as terrorists in Israel... yet "direct action" against military contractors abroad — involving apparently no violence or intimidation — IS classified as terrorism.

First comment removed from asklemmy thread about who's good/bad re Israel/Palestine is apparently too nuanced and anti-extremist for snowflake dessalines. Ya gotta fuel the hate and extremism if ya wanna comment round tankie parts...

The linux ban was regarding a comment (pretty sure the OG comment was different) about Russian maintainers being removed from the linux project. Obviously you can't call out capitalist Putin's authoritarian dictatorship in the communist sub, because ML mods are pro-authoritarian and pro-dictatorship; not anti-capitalist... At this point I'm convinced most "tankies" are just PsyOps operatives.

Thus, conservatism and neoliberalism are, in reality, the radical agenda...

Broke timestamps. Everywhere. New replies will show "10 hrs" while the original comment will show "18 mins".

When viewing posts I see tons of phantom comments that seemingly have nothing to do with the post or are replying to something when they appear at the top level. Navigating to the post in a web browser shows dozens more comments (not from users I've blocked or anything).

Formatting of content across posts and comments doesn't match what the site does when I view it in the browser.

Thanks to the Memmy dev and any contributors, but broken software is broken software.

So, what's the best alternative these days?
