Also she holds no political offices right now. She isn't even an MP anymore. I think few politicians in the UK have demolished themselves this fast and spectacularly.

The budget could increase by 70-90% compared to initial estimates, with commissioning delayed up to four to six years.

In France, the government plans to build six EPR – with a possibility of eight more – at an average cost of €52 billion. The first commissioning is scheduled for 2035.

However, according to Les Échos, the costs have already been revised upwards by 30%. When for a comment, EDF CEO Luc Rémont “would not confirm any figures.”

Yeah and because those new designs are so great we see them installed all over the world. Except the projects take decades, skyrocket in costs and get delayed for decades on top.

Advocating for nuclear power now is in the best interest of the oil lobby. And it is simply impossible to solve the urgent energy transition with it, even if all the miracles promised about it were true.

Your entire argument is a fallacy of saying it is either nuclear or coal, when in reality it is either renewables or coal+nuclear.

It is the same companies that want to continue both coal and nuclear, because it requires similar components in the power plants and similar equipment for mining.

Also the same government in Germany that expanded the nuclear power slashed the build up of renewables, resulting in the long time for coal in the first place.

Stop being a fossil shill. If you shill for nuclear you shill for coal too.

I wonder how the western media that was spurring transphobe vile, would have covered the story if she was an American or White European.

I am not sure to be happy or worried about this. On the one hand they could turn on themselves and be busy with infighting, leaving the rest of the world alone. On the other hand it is an extremely vile hateful ideology that can explode into massive violence easily.

Boxing has weight classes. As do most other martial arts.

The problem is not a 50kg men fighting a 70kg women in terms of injuries and power imbalance. And in that set up the women most likely wins. The problem is the typical situation of a 80-100 kg men smacking down on a 50-60kg women. And that is the image the demagogues try to conjure.

So if your full blown men is a 60kg feather to be able to compete against another 60kg women, the whole trope falls apart.

If you think your dad was sent to fight against the Nazis for ideological opposition, i have bad news for you. Maybe he personally fought out of that motivation, but must countries at the time were either fascist themselves or on the edge to fascism.

If you look at the US there was the ongoing genocide against native Americans, the racial segregation, eugenics, despicable human experimentation carried out on minorities, concentration camps for Japanese during WW2... Even the pledge to the flag in the schools was something Hitler admired and copied. Until the German Nazis became unpopular in the US the pledge to the flag with done with the "Bellamy Salute" that is the same as the Nazi salute. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellamy_salute

)

The truth is, they never left.

What is different though is that after WW2 it was understood which social problems, in particular fucking over the lower and middle class, create the breeding ground for fascism to be successful. Since the 1980s with Thatcher and Reagan and then the neoliberal wave over Europe, we had 40 years of deliberately empowering fascism. Now they reap what they sew.

The other freed house elve Dobby is portrayed as a good meaning, but over the top eccentric, quite literally wearing a dozen hats in book 4.
