It’s going to be a very very very bad time on the subcontinent, especially if the conflict escalates. How safe are the mountain areas near the afghan border nowadays? Its possible that it could provide a safe haven. Honestly I have recommended plans for relocation in the first place, simply due to climate change even when the situation was less volatile.

I still wish you the best comrade.

South, so like hardcore mode. But in the east there are some nostalgic older people as well, who reject state narratives on principle.

She isnt that old. Most WW2 survivors are 90+. This was from Germany’s hippie era.

Most of the german left is worse on palestine than some right wingers and it pains me to say so.

I have found far more sympathy for the Palestinian cause with AFD voting working class boomers than with non-muslim (though a lot of germans of turkish & kurdish descent also don’t particularly care about “arabs) left-wingers in germany.

A lot became greens lol. Though that was more the Revolutionary Cells than the RAF.

They are the RAF, of course they would be pro-Palestinian. One of the “major justifications” for pro-zionism in german was that Germany’s 9/11 equivalent was done by the ~~PLA~~ PLO to free imprisoned RAF members. It scared the shit out of the fash back in the day, because they lugi-ed several “ex” nazi capitalists.

The period was called the german autumn.

spoilerSyril is the embodiment of middle class depoliticized white men who are delusional about their role in to maintain the empire. He does not believe in fascism (unlike Dedra, where fascism is literally the thing that raised her), because he can not see the fascism before him. He didnt not know who he was - he never truly did, he believed in abstract notions of "justice" and "order"- but even that the empire stole from him, which is why he overreacted so hard, if he was a "good little fascist" he would have stayed with Dedra and lived.

But his love for dedra (fascism) ended his own life, after saving her twice unknowingly. The tragedy of empire is the erasure of what Syril "could have" been and even denial for syril to find fulfillment in creating true justice, true order and find a true family. And even though he jumped the fence at the end, it was too little, too late. Hating Andor was the only thing that made sense in his mind, the only thing that could restore his own personhood, but for Cassian it was just "another tuesdays". In the end Revolutions don't wait for you to make up your mind or for you to come around to realize you are the empire.

  • a similar thing happend with the driver of Mon Mothma, btw.
