"Let's talk about something nice instead!" (:

I'm not having fun or making money.

Who do I send a bug report to?

I lived in Tennessee for less than a year with plans to stay permanently. Was discriminated against for having a name that didn't sound "white". People would apologize and become friendly once they saw me in person.

Got the fuck out of there asap.

Not everyone can be so lucky/privileged as to be able to move.

I have hypohydrosis & super sensitive skin. People in here don't know shit about skincare or hygiene, apparently. Ironic. Lol so don't take it too personal.

It took almost 2 fucking years after my first initial appointment to get properly medicated.

I'd literally kill myself if I was forced to do it all again.

You "just go see a doctor"–folk have no idea how fucking difficult it is to 1). actually be seen by a competent doctor, 2). be taken seriously, 3). and actually receive treatment for mental health stuff.

That's not even including the whole "getting out of a shit enough headspace to actually do all that stuff in the first place."

Unmedicated me felt like wading through hell.

Be kind to those with different chemistry. Shit sucks.

Because fashion is fun! (:

Things don't always need to be practical.

Then you can be a girl and everything can suck!

I have a special needs bearded dragon. Special needs because he was born without scales. Also, unfortunately, he is now mostly blind.

He has given me more grey hairs in his 5 years on earth than my previous 30. His care requires multiple skincare products, aloe, etc. His diet requires me to keep bins of cockroaches which also require their own food and water. He also requires heat & UVB bulbs with separate fixtures, and has a specialty "herpstat" that can automatically time the lights, control temperatures, report on humidity, etc.

He is a pain to care for!

I love him so much. I do it all happily and he's a wonderful, friendly, sweet, amazing companion.

Be sure to vote today, if you're able! Do your best!

Beautiful creature.

I am not a tech person, but I cleaned out my secondhand PC today, and it took hours with the sheer amount of dust accumulation. The fans were nearly overloaded with it!!

Does a clean PC run better / faster than one filled with dust? Or is it more a matter of keeping the fans running easily? Or something else..? Idk, maybe I imagined it, but it seemed to boot much faster after cleaning. Could be wishful thinking!

I'm in need of more images ~~to steal~~ to collect. Please post your favorites!

Make sure you put questionable/NSFW behind spoilers, please.

Also, where do your images come from? Mine came mostly from 4ch×n, D×scord, and R×ddit (which I no longer use).

Here's some of mine:

And only sometimes.

Before people start asking in the comments, the website is a niche fashion archive.

Every time I go outside to my yard, my elderly neighbor comes out and tries to talk with me. Every. Single. Time. Without fail. I go out to relax and do gardening and yard work, and his presence makes me increasingly anxious & leaves me feeling particularly uncomfortable/unsafe.

He is dealing with dementia, and has become increasingly vulgar and outspoken, and even made some vastly inappropriate remarks about his wife & my other neighbor while my child was right there.

His wife is tired. I know this. Christ, I would be, too. He was kind of insufferable even before the dementia got bad (think him talking about his shitty political views), but, god.. I am so tired of babysitting him while I try to unwind in my own yard. He'll talk over the fence or simply waltz past it and follow me around while I try to do stuff or as I'm trying to talk to my kid.

One thing I know is this: do not piss off your neighbors, because, chances are, you will probably be living next to them for a looooong time.

What can I do? I just want peace without feeling like I'm being accosted.

Always wondered what happened to them. So happy they're safe & sound!

Let me recommend: Bill's Hot Dog Stand in Ypsilanti.

It's a drive-in. Open your window and eat in the parking lot. Get their dogs with everything on it + a mug of root beer. If you don't eat dogs, at least get the root beer!!! I don't even like root beer that much, but I now dream about the root beer from Bill's.

Absolute reasonable prices, too: got 4 dogs & 2 mugs of root beer for around 10$ total!

What's your recommendation for unexpectedly good food in Michigan?

The noise scared my lizard something frightful!

Everyone was okay and no one was badly injured. Except for a patch of my lilies. But they're pretty resilient.

[Content warning for potentially distressing things ahead]

Hey there.

So I've been keeping an eye on the nest of an American Robin since they built it and watched the chicks grow up. Four dumb, ugly babies. Loved every second of it!

They just left the nest a few days ago, and I was eager to watch them continue to grow from a distance.

Then.. I saw the deaths of two of them: one from a neighbor's cat roaming outdoors, and the second from some evil fuck who was walking their dog and *told their dog to "get 'em!" and laughed as the poor thing was killed.

The other two just left the nest today, but I am horrified at what their fates might be.

I'm very much a proponent of "let nature take its course", but this is NOT fair play from actual nature!!

I know I can't save everything, but.. I just don't know what to do. I'm so distraught. I'm tempted to take one in just for a week or so until they are able to fly better. Idk.... it doesn't seem right, but neither is letting them die to stupid irresponsible pet owners.

One is still being actively fed & looked after by their mother as it explores, but the other seems to have been forgotten about all day and keeps calling out from a bush.

Please advise. I'm struggling so hard with this.

Thank you.

Stimulants like Adderall and its generic equivalents leech Magnesium from your body, which can lead to muscle tension, stress headaches, jaw tightness (especially at night), teeth grinding, and a variety of unpleasant side effects.

Take Magnesium Taurate or Magnesium Glycerate, as other types (like Magnesium oxide or citate) do not absorb well at all & may actually cause stomach issues & absorption tolerance.

Take around 500mg at night, give it around 20 minutes, and you may find that you feel a difference very quickly! Especially if you are deficient.

Be sure to take both your meds and the Magnesium with lots of water! Stay hydrated throughout the day!

As with anything, if you're unsure, are taking other medications, or have other health issues, it's best to talk to a healthcare professional before adding supplements into your regimen.

I'm not a medical professional! Just someone who's been on meds for around 10+ years — giving advice that I wish I had known earlier.

Stay safe & healthy, folks!
