No, we're a bunch of dipshit players who just assume it's locked.

The DM describes some fancy heavy door. Someone tries to listen through the door. Barbarian tries to bash it open but rolls a nat 1 and stubs his toe taking 2 damage. Rogue tries to pick it, rolls a 3 and ends up locking the door. Cleric doesn't even realize there's a door there. Lack of skill continues ad nauseum for 20 minutes.

Or my party, struggling with unlocked doors.

DM (later): "all you had to do was turn the fucking knob"

Some other pilot pointed out it looks like he fucked the trim all up before jumping out so it would spiral

There was no fireball, he probably had just a small amount of fuel and shut off the valves before bailing, but we don't know because he had the plane helilifted out and destroyed, destroying the evidence. In his video he went to the plane after to get his gopros, and it's just kinda smushed. If there was a fireball it probably would have started a wildfire, which is part of the reason he's going to jail.

I don’t know what it is about it

It goes low to high in pitch as it speaks which, while normal for some accents/languages, conveys uncertainty and/or a feeling of 'high-strung'-ness, at least to a large portion of english speakers, and especially Americans.

It also put the emphasis in the wrong places.

So looking at a map.of New Yorks bays and ignoring depth and bridges I'm going to assume this is about 2 miles long or 10,560ft. I have no evidence and just eyeballed it.

Meaning if you can overcome the skin friction it has a hull speed of about 160mph...without planing.

Modern carriers have a hull speed in the neighborhood of 45mph (though officially the top speed is like 35mph) and normally cruise at 25-30mph so the slow pokes can keep up.
