Holy fucking shit. Bruh. Just... goddamn. I'm pretty sure my parents would be over the moon if I was wanting to marry someone like that, regardless of intentions. Furthermore, it sounds like they're clear on what her feelings are and things like that. It's totally possible that he's looking for an heir which is why her attraction to his wealth isn't something he has a problem with (he's already planning to give it to her and/or any children she might end up having). It's also possible (as someone else pointed out) that it may be more kinky and saying she is marrying him for his wealth is an easier (or less awkward) explanation. Regardless, however, it sounds like it's consensual.

I think the way I'd handle it is to voice my concerns just to make sure she's thought of what might happen. When you do so, make sure she understands you're not rejecting her, but trying to make sure she's thought everything through; and that you need some reassurance yourself that she'll be okay. Explain that you care about her and you don't want anything bad to happen to her, and that's why you're so concerned. Then let her go and be there for her if things go south. Ultimately, she's an adult and you can't stop her from living her own life. At least it sounds like this path will ensure she (and any children she might have with him) will live a good life.

I'm actually kinda jealous lol.

Maybe the community has gotten better, but back when I played it wasn't uncommon for mid to get salty because they fed early game and start feeding couriers to the enemy team.

Factorio, Warframe, Minecraft, Dota 2. However, the only two I'd still recommend are Factorio and Minecraft. Warframe's grind seems to have finally burned me out for good, Dota 2 is bad. You're not gonna have fun with Dota 2. The game concept is good, but like most competitive online games, the community fucking sucks.

In addition to Factorio and Minecraft, try Voices of the Void, The Long Drive, WEBFISHING, and Balatro.

Edit: oh yeah, and personally I have both Sims 2 and Sims 4 w/ all DLC (yeah, I toootally bought all the dlc) installed on my steam deck. Both fun games with their own ups and downs. Sims 2 is great vanilla, Sims 4 is great when heavily modded. Don't bother downloading the F2P version of Sims 4 from Origin if you're wanting to mod it with stuff like sacrificial's mods. Those'll break with every major update (and sometimes minor updates too!) and you can't pause updates anymore. So, you'll have to find alternative methods.

Homosexuality is still technically illegal in Texas; they just aren't allowed to enforce it. If they strip away the supreme court precedents regarding LGBT discrimination, then those kinds of laws will automatically go back into effect.

They're not swapping by 2040. Geomagnetic poles take an obscenely long time to swap; we're talkin' hundreds of thousands of years. What's gonna happen by 2040 is that Earth's geomagnetic "North" will line up with "true North".

The only time I've had someone tell me we're living through the end times was during the whole 2012 thing, but they said it as a joke.

On the other hand, I've always had a feeling, even before I was a teenager and started becoming aware of the world outside my little bubble, that humanity won't be around by 2100. I very much hope I'm wrong.

Meanwhile Sisko is the one making them to help fund wartime upgrades to DS9; and Janeway got a beta version before they shipped off and is now using it to pilot borg around like meat puppets.

Kirk had a prototype that he used to attend every +18 VRChat meetup.

That's awesome! I wonder if there's anything like that around me

You know, I'd never thought about doing something like that. Tbh, that seems more helpful than most things; because you know where the person you're talking to is, and that you can go and see them in person. Like, you really shouldn't do that do a store clerk, that's not what they're being paid for; but at the same time, if I was in that position then I'd absolutely put my job on the line and take the time to talk and comfort them.

I wonder if LGBT-positive stores give people crisis training in case they get calls or emails like that. If not, then it might be worth considering doing that as a community. Then someone who's struggling can find their nearest LGBT-anything and have someone to talk to.

Heh, if it sounds suspiciously specific it's because I went through that recently. I'm doing better now tho!

And then you melt down because you're very, very, very sorry and you know it's not a big deal but your brain is making you grovel and beg for forgiveness and you're sorry for acting like this and it's weirding everyone out and now you're sorry about that too, and now all your friends have run away and you're alone and sorry you made them run away.

Afaik no one knows where the line between "human-made" and "machine-made" is, so AI-generated imagery is considered public domain (at least for now).

Leading up to his death:

For those of you outside of the community (and possibly wondering why the furry side of social media is on fire), Dragoneer did a hell of a lot for the furry community. FurAffinity is the largest furry art host and social network; he could have sold out and allowed AI, or made the site friendly to corporate advertising, but he didn't.

He intentionally didn't.

If he had, he probably would have been able to afford healthcare, but he didn't.

He died because he wanted to keep the site in the community instead of whoring it out to corporations, resulting in him not having the money for healthcare when he needed it the most. I wish I'd been more aware of what was going on because I would have chipped in to help (if he'd allowed it).

It makes me fucking furious that the US, the country with the highest GDP in the world by 10 TRILLION DOLLARS, still allows this to happen.

RIP Dragoneer, we'll never forget you. Wherever you are, I hope it's filled with fur, feathers, scales and wagging tails.

Edit: I was trying to make a joke about how her new fondness for the number "34" was because "haha funny sex rule number" aka "rule34".

Sauce

Edit for people who are curious: it's not Photoshop, it's a troodontid mask made by Archesuchus for their "Weird Birds" series. Here's what it looks like under normal lighting conditions.

Not gonna lie, I really, really want one. But fursuit heads are expensive (I'm assuming the cost would be similar since that's basically what it is) and I don't have the skill or tools to make one myself. :c
