While I'm disgusted by this whole pr stunt by Katy Petty, an astronaut is literally just a person trained to travel in a spacecraft beyond the earths atmosphere. pr Merriam Webster. So is she an astronaut? Assuming the spacecraft actually left the earths atmosphere, then yes. She can identify herself as an astronaut. Doesn't make her anywhere near as cool an astronaut as the people who work and do research in space, but that's not necessarily part of the definition.

I agree that they don't give half a shit about their actual product, but their biggest competitor has never been more competitive, and Nvidia knows it. Pissing off your costumer base when you don't have a monopoly is fucking stupid, and Nvidia and the prebuilt manufacturers knows this. It's business 101.
There's gotta be something else. I know businesses aren't known for making long term plans, because all that will ever matter to them is short term profits. But this is just way too stupid to be because of that.

And once again they move the goalpost and there's absolutely fuck all we're going to be able to do about it. 2 weeks ago we were angry that people were kidnapped and sent to a deathcamp. 1,5 weeks ago we were angry that people didn't even get a trial. 1 week ago we were angry that someone wasn't "supposed" to be sent to the death camp. Now we're angry that they say this man was a gangmember without evidence.
The discussion has moved from "sending people to death camps is fucking insane", to "it's okay to send people to death camps, as long as they're gang members".
This post is a big part of that goalpost moving.
Don't let them shift the narative. Yes, everything that is happening is wrong, but focusing on them lying about him being a gang member, shifts the narative to a point where it's okay to send people to foreign death camps, as long as they've done something the state deems criminal (in this case, being a gang member).

Someone investing in them spending 7 years studying rainforests, just for them to come up with "serve them poop". If that isn't a case of writing the exam on the night before, I don't know what is.
I was pretty surprises I got it too. It scrambled to get under my trash bucket for a bit which gave me the chance to chop. While there's definately a fair few mice, it's not like it's an infestation. I grew up on a farm so I'm pretty used to them.

Did they travel in a spacecraft, and did they recieve the necessary training to do so?
Not all astronauts pilot the spacecraft, and most going to eg. the ISS don't actually do anything while going to the station. That trip is also just an automated flight, controlled by the onboard computer.
It's more akin to, "if that makes them astronauts, then people who have traveled on an airplane, has recieved the training to travel in an airplane."
