I’m 40 and I’d rather play a video game than watch a movie.

This is such a fun game!

They got that Reviewbrah fit.

I've been following this one, but I'm not really sold on it. I feel like it's a little too sandbox for my tastes, but I love the aesthetics!

Just got back from the vet, no fungal infection but they’re trying some really strong antibiotics. Because of some swelling in the bridge of his nose, they are also thinking polyps or a tumor if the strong antibiotics don’t get it. Guess we’ll see how the next few days go.

Here's a picture of the little guy. His name is Wheatley.

Hello all! Looking for any advice or thoughts from anyone else in a similar position. One of our cats has been super congested (whenever he is active you can especially hear it) for a few weeks now. I know most cats always have a low level viral respiratory infection (especially shelter cats), but last Tuesday (9/3) I took him to the vet and they said he may have a secondary bacterial infection so they gave him a shot of antibiotics and said he should be better in a week or two. Today, he still sounds just as bad and stuffed up. I also tried having him in the bathroom while I ran the shower hot and it seemed to loosen up a little, but it still sounds almost as bad.

Anyone have a similar experience? I am planning on taking him back to the vet early next week if it doesn't improve over the weekend but I'd rather avoid the bill if this is more of a 'wait it out' situation.

Agreed. In my experience, the more processed the original product is, the easier it is to replicate.

I legit saw something about it for the first time and was like ‘is this a Raid Shadow Legends spin-off’? I remember seeing the character in their ads so was very confused at first.

How is it in 2024 now that it’s finished? A lot of reviews I see are based on when it originally came out but I’m curious about the current state of the game. With it being on sale now it seems like it’s worth it even with flaws.

For some context, I’m not a huge city-builder guy (I’ve played some here and there) but the sci-fi setting and the narrative are what interest me here. I don’t really care about replayability as long as one play through is entertaining enough.

Any thoughts?

My wife is desperately trying to find out what medication will work for her…

Just a game and book come to mind for me right now, plus a music album.

Game: Star Control 2

Book: Vacuum Diagrams by Stephen Baxter

Album: Floating World by Anathallo

I saw this and thought, well yeah that VP is right, cold calls are annoying spam. However, based on the insane comments by all the salespeople, you'd be wrong. Like, are salespeople that out of touch with normal people?

Anyone else have fond memories of Star Control 2?

Been waiting my whole adult life for this one!

Hello all, I am a 39M whose wife (42F) was just diagnosed with ADHD. We’ve had a suspicion ever since our 6 year old was diagnosed and we started doing a deep dive into it and realizing a lot of the symptoms fit her. Even some of the memes from this community helped her to start looking into it herself. She is relieved to find out she’s not just ‘a disorganized slob’, that there is a reason for her struggles, but now the real work begins.

My question is: what do you wish your partner would have known/done for you? I want to be as supportive as possible and make sure I’m not contributing to any negative feelings, and help her find ways to build coping mechanisms. Just looking for any advice!

Just found out about this law that went into effect in 2021 in MD. HOAs or communities cannot require turf-only landscapes.

Just so tired of almost every time a doctor submits stuff to insurance, we have to be the ones to make multiple phone calls to both the doctor's office and insurance to iron everything out, figure out what the issue is (it's always a different issue), and basically be the go-between for the office and insurance. What am I paying $500+/month for?! It's like paying for the privilege of having an exhausting part-time job.

And yes, I understand that insurance wants to weasel out of paying anything, but this isn't even shadiness, just straight up incompetence and lack of communication/following procedures. The amount of emotional energy we have to spend untangling this stuff leaves us drained.
