If you're currently on it and not tapering off, you need to talk to your doc about it. The brain shocks are a withdrawal symptom.

I think it says a lot more about them than it does about you. I've had people who I thought were close friends turn out to be fake. It messes with your head and hurts like crazy, but you have to realize that it's about them and not you.

This is something that honestly keeps me up a night. In the back of my mind, I worry about having to leave the country or be persecuted. The worst part is that it's completely possible.

Lemmy isn't as big as Reddit yet, but I'm confident it will grow with time. I like the concept of the Fediverse and I'm starting to understand how it all fits together.

I left Reddit because of mods in certain subs I frequented. It seems like they just decide someone broke a rule and you get banned from several subs at once with no explanation. I never had any warnings or contact with the mod team until after they banned me. I appealed to the platform and was accused of harassment so I deleted my account and never looked back. I was honestly shocked when it happened.

I spent some time Googling and settled on Lemmy because it had a familiar feel to it. I chose Mastodon because of its similarity to the old bird site.

Elon has some nerve calling out someone for making money of bettering humanity. That's the very definition of "the pot calling the kettle black".

This is one of those times I truly wish we could do to her what she did to her child....over and over and over again.

I don't want to sound cynical, but I really struggle with understanding what someone thinks they'll actually accomplish setting themselves on fire. I it would be the most horrific way to die let alone doing it to yourself.

The minimum wage for servers is around $2 an hour. If we stop tipping, our servers won't make enough money to survive. Restaurants claim that they can't afford to pay a living wage and offer prices people are willing to pay. Yay capitalism.
