All marriages should start with reading Mao. One should not be in a partnership unless they understand the mutual responsibility in holding up the sky

Wasn’t sure about level of cw required for talking about veal farms, so I did the whole thing

spoilerGrowing up I remember going to a family-friends “veal farm”, and when I learned what that actually meant (maybe ~8yo at the time) it was my first step to reconsidering everything I ever heard about the dairy industry, and ultimately, veganism. I just remember meeting all the calves, and how cute they were and that they would suck on your thumb, and then, as a child, to learn that it’s more of an “kidnapped juvenile death camp” than a “farm” is a strong lesson. I try to shame carnists on the topic by saying I have a firm “no eating babies” rule, but they really do be shameless - big Saturn eating his son energy.

My favorite thing about going to new cities is learning the various transit/bike-share options and getting to explore. Having a car always feels so fucking limiting and I hate it. Unless there’s a scenic spot I wanna go to specifically that requires driving, I’ll avoid it, it’s just so liberating to not have one’s existence tied to operating a machine. shinji-froggy-chair

Great idea! I was thinking of experimenting with casting “stones” for another project using pink foam board - so I’ll have to expand my mediums to include casting with silicone as well lol

So many great things to consider- thank you!! Maybe I’ll start small scale and see what works with down branches, that way I can experiment indoors and not damage the trees. I used to know a potter within a couple hours me who worked with natural clay and glaze and had a big backyard kiln - I’ll have to see if they’re still in this area.
