Nobody thought Trump would win the first time, Ukraine is still in rough shape, and this could be a new way to avoid sanctions. I like the optimism, but there are reasons to be skeptical.

I thought it was interesting that the building itself took place over such a long period.

And yes, Christianity isn't that old, but it's an interesting frame of reference compared to "the construction of the Great Wall of China took place over approximately 2300 years".
