UPDATE: Well, I did some more digging and I found WeekToDo which looks like it will do exactly what I need it to do. Regardless, thanks for the help, everyone! :)

Well, you are correct: Websites do this because it makes them money. It's all about the clicks, baby. And they know that if they change the graphic or reword the title a little bit, people will click again and again. Isn't Capitalism great? sarcasm

People fall for it because by and large, everybody loves to gossip.

The only way to win is to not play the game.

That's overkill for what I want.

Are you talking about the calendar that opens up when you click on the time/date applet in the system tray? I can't for the life of me figure out how to schedule an event or set a reminder with it. It's been absolutely useless to me, so I've always ignored it.

I want to use this for work, and it needs to have the following features:

  1. It should be light on resources without a lot of bloat.
  2. A calendar view where I can set tasks and repeatable reminders.
  3. Reminders should pop up on my screen with an audible alarm.
  4. It would be really nice if it sat in my system tray with a nice icon.

You know how much Hollywood loves prequels, right?

People can change if they're willing to put in the effort to do so.

This video helped me A LOT: https://youtu.be/yxAd8Owl-7A

Reduce the amount of news and media you consume. It isn't healthy. Check in with your own mental health on a regular basis and use that as a barometer. When you start feeling overly stressed and frustrated, it's time to take a break.

I mean, you had to know what you were in for just from reading the description of the film, yeah?
