I'm mostly looking for people to play games with on Steam. It would be nice to have someone to play co-op games with or even just know someone in a multiplayer lobby.

I only really have a couple friends and we haven't talked in months.

I'm wondering if there's a community out there for finding people to game with or more broadly making friends? I tried search some related buzz words but couldn't find anything

Do you have an example of apps designed for creating bootable media switching to a paid model?

Thanks for explaining. I didn't know it went unmaintained for a while. I thought programs like balenaEtcher and Rufus might have other issues I was unaware of like certain OSs not flashing correctly

That and verifying the checksum are the big reasons I can think of. I feel like for the most part though using something like balenaEtcher is so much easier.

I've played a fair amount of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam and had a fair amount of fun with it. I liked the jungle combat that added some stealth elements and weapons that were present.

To be clear I don't mean to sound insensitive. I know about the Vietnam war and how distasteful a hero shooters around it could be.

I originally posted this to [email protected] but I feel like it would be a better fit for a writing prompt. I feel like there's plenty of chances for humorous situations like Jesus wearing a noticeably fake beard and production staff getting people to sign NDAs.

You can check the emulation wiki and see which ones they recommend. I'm not sure which are available on F-Droid but most of them are available through a GitHub page

Didn't they produce a lot of content in the Vita modding scene?

I'm not surprised. TheFloW has done this before with PS4/5 exploits . A lot of players don't update their firmware in the hopes they'll be able to run something like HEN.

Grand Theft Auto IV gave players choice with actions instead of dialogue but I feel like the end result was similar to Cyberpunk.

Characters you decide not to kill will often help you for a bit but it doesn't drastically effect the story. You still hit a notable point of no return that only really comes into play at the very end.

Personally that feels more like an adventure game. I don't think Cyberpunk is very unique in what it did.

I feel like you could say that about most games though. I wouldn't say Cities Skylines is an RPG but you are fulfilling the role of a mayor. Chirper adds to the immersion aspect but I don't think that's enough to shift the genre.

Maybe it's a hot take though. Kind of similarly I wouldn't call F.E.A.R. a horror game. I'd say it's an FPS with horror elements.

How so? To mean it felt like Grand Theft Auto IV. You go around doing jobs for individuals and get thrown a handful of choices and possible romance options along the way but it still feels very linear.

Maybe it's because I associate roleplaying with the idea of player choice but I really don't think it added a ton to the RPG aspect. World depth? Sure but not by much.

You need to have sound on. She's getting cussed at for what she's doing

I think my next challenge run should be beating the PS3 without reloading. If the game crashes or I clip into a rock I need to start over.

It would be more for big ticket small items. Laptops and what not. You'd go down as they trickle up.

Setting off a detector might give you a time bonus while they investigate.

I was watching the Simpsons episode where Homer is a firefighter and that gave me the idea.

I know there's ways to reset the entire layout but I keep accidentally doing it. The attached images shows what I am talking about on the left.

I own Stardew Valley but I am avoiding using the Google Play store when possible. While I could just sign into Aurora Store with my Google account I think I'd need to install Google Play Services so I am wondering if I could crack the game myself. I think in the past people used Lucky Patcher but I have tried it with other games that I own with no luck.

I've looked through the megathread and it seems like there are versions of Stardew Valley uploaded to Mobilism but a majority of them are modded for things like infinite stamina and money. The version without mods on Mobilism also appears to be re-uploaded from Apk Vision which isn't in the megathread.

Let's say the PC doesn't count and you aren't taking into account backwards compatibility, emulation, online play, homebrew games, and the cost/availability of games.

I feel like I'd want to choose the PS3. Like the Xbox 360 it had a decent lifespan and a lot of games were produced for it. A lot of which are already some of my favorites.

The only things that would make hesitant are I feel like a lot of modern games are larger and have open worlds which I feel like that could be nice in the long run and many of my favorite games for the PS3 have been re-released.

I believe I was previously using PojavLauncher, it came bundled with my Retroid Pocket 3+, but I could have sworn it was wrapped up in some kind of controversy.

I could easily be blending together memories of PojavLauncher and PolyMC but I thought it had something to do with people using pirated versions of the game with PojavLauncher.

Either way, is PojavLauncher still the way to go? I'm not a fan of the micro transactions Bedrock edition offers.

It cracked me up when they sent this to me.

I feel like I'm going to get Nintendo E-Shop giftcards based off of the amount of Switch games I've been playing despite now owning a Switch.

I recall hearing about Alovoa a year ago and while it sounds nice with no ads or paid features, being open source, and private data being encrypted I have to imagine the userbase is incredibly small relative to other services. Google Play lists it at over a thousand downloads but it's also available through F-Droid so that may not mean much. I have to imagine the userbase is mostly men which might prevent some users from joining or sticking around.

Either way (TL:DR) I'd be curious to see what your experiences are with open source dating apps or even apps designed around making friends.
