Well that’s pathetic and they suck. And we’re not signatories to the ICC so it’s effectively chest-beating just to be assholes about it right?

It might be more than just being assholes; this could be a step towards attacking the ICC in ways that truly undermine international law.

Just because the USA is not a member does not mean it can’t make things more difficult.

But chaos in government… probably forgotten later

I mean the only countries that aren't members are the US and Israel I think . . . oh and Russia, China, Libya, and Qatar. Noice.

That ability to claim jurisdiction over individuals unlikely to be prosecuted in national courts is probably one of the key reasons why some prominent nations like the United States, China and Russia continue to decline to sign this particular treaty agreement.
