Nah. Someone that was previously active in the Matrix group disappeared and we found out they were on SimpleX. After going through the effort to make contact with them and get them back on Matrix we decided SimpleX was worth trying for ourselves. The main group of us really liked it and voted to move from Matrix.
Matrix is what it is. I've mostly enjoyed using it. SimpleX is different and arguably better but not without its own issues.

You aren't the first to point this out lol. Unfortunate but it is what it is. A few of us have been using it lately and prefer it to Matrix for most things.
